Hi,

I recently got myself a new laptop and got VirtualDJ and the accessibility scripts set up on it. When I went to test everything over the past couple of days, I noticed that key matching was happening, which I didn't want.

I did the obvious first steps and turned Auto Key Match off and Reset Key on Load on. However, I noticed that VirtualDJ is still changing the keys of newly loaded tracks, and the behavior seems to be based on harmonic/Camelot-style relationships.

For example, I tested this by loading a song in B-flat on the first deck, then loading a song in A on the second deck. The second-deck song was automatically shifted to B-flat. Toggling Key Lock afterward changed the pitch, confirming that the key itself had been changed.

I then tested another combination. With a song in A on the right deck, I loaded a song in E-flat on the left, and the left-deck song was shifted to E. After resetting the left deck's key and loading a song in E on the right deck, that track was similarly shifted to match the E-flat on the left.

So it appears that VirtualDJ is looking at the analyzed/target key of the track already loaded on one deck and automatically transposing a newly loaded track when their keys fall into certain harmonic relationships, even though Auto Key Match is disabled.

I don't remember VirtualDJ doing this previously. Does anyone know what setting or feature could be responsible for this, or how to completely disable this behavior?

I generally do not want automatic key matching. I often want to mix tracks in their original keys. In particular, when working with acoustic recordings, I sometimes want to use the traditional "classic" relationship between pitch and tempo: no tempo-independent key changes, no Key Lock, and varispeed-style behavior where changing the tempo also changes the pitch.

I'd like key changes to happen only when I explicitly invoke them.

Thanks!

Hi. I have same problem, but i found a fix for this behavior.

1. Open vdj options on the mallmuzik app, and turn on autokey.

2. Close vdj settings and open virtual dj.

3. Close virtual dj, open mallmuzik vdj options and turn of auto key.
