Hi,

i've recently been exparamenting with perfectly beat synced transitions between tracks, and one thing I have run into is the need to reset the tempo to the original speed of the current track, once the transition is over. I know control space, and alt space exist, however, this also resets the pitch, which I don't want to do. Is there a way to add commands to reset only the tempo and reset only the pitch? I don't want to have to reset both at the same time in all situations, since I do sometimes make sure that the new track plays in the same key as the one that is finishing for consistency.

To restore the tempo, you can use the option:
resetPitchOnLoad = yes
These are the other shortcuts for resetting the tempo and key:
Ctrl+Alt+b aligns the tempo of the active deck with the tempo of the opposite deck
Ctrl+Space, Alt+Space abruptly reset the tempo and key for the selected deck
Ctrl+Alt+Enter abruptly reset the tempo and key for both decks
Shift+Delete abruptly resets the key and gradually resets the tempo according to the set pitchResetSpeed.
So currently, you can only adjust the tempo itself with the shortcut:
Ctrl+Alt+b or restore the original value while the track is loading.
You can also manually change the BPM with the keys:
PageUp/PageDown
Shift+PageUp/PageDown
In keyboard BPM mode, Shift+t
or program a free button on the controller
for example, Shift+Sync = pitch_reset
Good luck and best regards

HI,

the trouble with this is, if I restore the tempo using those, it will reset the key, which is not ideal, if say, I'm mixing a track with a new track, but start them in the same key for consistency. It's especially an issue if the song is not built in a way that jumping directly from what ever key made them both the same to the original will make sense, and it's harder the farther away the 2 keys are. I'd ideally need a way to reset the tempo only, for use with the key lock enabled, since using the tempo slider isn't exactly pin point perfect. I alson only want tempos to reset on load if I'm not trying to make smooth transitions where each song needs to at least be in the same tempo as the previous one, at least during the transition where both beats are playing at once, then have it slowly revert later once the new song has taken over.

I'm reading your controller's factory mapping and see that holding the "sync" button as a tempo reset action is exactly what you need.

Enable pitch lock so that once the tempo is matched, both decks will change their tempos equally, regardless of which side you're adjusting the BPM from.

Then, with pitch lock enabled, play the synchronized tracks and hold the sync button for half a second on the controller on the side you want to reset the tempo for. Both decks should synchronize to the new BPM. Good luck.
