Setting Up VDJ Accessibility with the Mac

Hi,

I installed VDJ, logged in using VOCR, and then closed it. When I tried to launch the speech software, it said that it couldn't find VDJ's data folder, and to make sure that the app was installed. How do I proceed from here?

hi. make sure your vdj data folder was created. the virtual dj folder now should be in ~/library/application support. make sure you use virtual dj 2023

it creates automatically after you launch virtual dj for the first time. skip all the dialogs with escape, go the menubar, virtual dj and click quit firtual dj.

This is the error I get, and I’ve hit escape, logged in, everything.

Cannot find VDJ Data folder, Please make sure Virtual DJ is installed.

How do I proceed?

Do I download VDJ from the app store or from the website?

I do see the data folder in ~/library/application support. It’s only like 700+ bytes.

Okay. That’s what I did, after uninstalling it from when I got it from the app store.

Is there a set of instructions for setting it up on the Mac on the accessibility site yet?

yes. look in the download page. it explains to you how to set both up.

so. first, you install virtual dj, then you run it for the first time to create the data files.

then run the vdj midi 2 speech. as permissions, i would advise you to give vdj midi 2 speech full disk access if you state that it doesn’t see the vdj data created.
