Hello list,
I was recently wondering how people were able to scratch on their
keyboards on virtual dj without sounding like a strange kind of
miniscule annoying badger sound. It turns out that there is an on
screen jogwheel which one has to click and hold before playing your
track, and once this is done, one can scratch as if they were on
turntables or a controller.

See here for a demonstration of this.

Obviously, in this video, the person in question is using the mouse to
hold the jogwheel on the track he is playing. My question is whether
this can be mapped to a pad page, such as mallmuzik? that way you can
activate and deactivate the jogwheels depending on deck.

This also I think would make cuing much easier as you will be able to
hear the first beat properly rather than the small 120ms
pecking/squishy sounds you get, which at the beginning of a track are
not often very defined.

Best,
Orhan.

Hello list,

I have a problem with virtual Dj. It doesn't recognize my console. Do you have any ideas about this problem?

I am using the version that is uploaded to the site.

And the console is traktor s2 mk 4.

Is there a crack that can be used to activate the software itself?

Thanks for your time!

Hi Desislav.

If you are using VDJ 8.1 (32 bit). I think this version does not support the Traktor s2 MK 4.

You can download and install the latest VDJ from the mallmuzik software. that version does support that controller.

To do this , go to the Help menu in the MallMuzik software, and select download and install latest Virtual DJ. This will download the latest Virtual DJ from the official Atomix website, and install it for you.

All the best

Pete

Yes. This is something I am interested in also, being able to scratch using the keyboard.

Hi good morning. So the way you can do that as of the moment, If
you're using the bluefox performance keymap is use 'S' to scratch
forward and 'A' to scratch backwards on deck one. It will work with
certain types of music but still sounds fake to an extent. Also use
'K' to scratch forward and 'J' to scratch backward on deck two. If you
rather to use one combo to scratch, use 'SHIFT+S' and 'AShift+K' on
their respective decks. Down Scratches forward and Up scratches
backward. S'Shift+A' and 'Shift+J' will wheel back a song and stop.
Note: It resets the deck to default tempo/pitch after it's done, so
you can proberbly use this at the end where you not gonna play that
song again.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Not in the default AccessKeys map. but you can quickly switch between
the default key map and the custom KeyMapm when in VirtualDJ, (which
should be Bluefox in this case), by pressing "CTRL + ALT + A". I cannot
remember the Mac shortcut at the moment.

to configure the bluefox as the custom KeyMap. do the following.
in the MallMuzik Software, go to Tools Menu, then Custom AcccessKeys,
then User created custom KeyMaps, the select Use Bluefo as custom keymap.

you will also find the help file for the keyboard commands for this
keymap, in this area of the  menu.

also note, this will overwrite the current custom KeyMap file, so back
up your current file , if you have created or edited your own.
