latest virtual dj accessibility scripts not working properly on windows

Hi,

I just came back to virtual dj recently after a breaf time of not using it, and downloaded the latest virtual dj accessibility scripts. However, when I ran the program, I found that instead of loading as usual, it gets stuck on checking for updates, and never shows the application window. Also as a result, i can't use virtual dj accessibly either. Is anyone else having this problem? I did recently switch to a windows 11 beta channel build, but those are not so bleading edge that they're likely to be super unstable or cause issues like this.

Hey there,

in some cases it happens that the inbuild antivirus software is blocking vdj and also mallmix. Try to add all the folders connected with mallmix or vdj to the exceptions list of the Windows Defender and Firewall and try it again!

Not sure if this is related to your problem, but there is an issue with some computers with the windows 11 update 'KB5074105' if you use LoopMidi. though LoopBVe1 and LoopBE30 still work fine with this update. you can uninstall this update without any problems. here is a link on VDJ about the issue and how to uninstall this update. I have heard that Microsoft is aware of this and is going to put out a fix at the end of the month.

Hi,

Yep, I've got that update installed, but can't remove it as I'm on a windows insider beta build. I can't really test my controller though since I can't get the accessibility script aplication to load a window so I can set my audio config to a valid one for testing, since i wanted to use my partymix controller, and as such there's no sound since I was last using my mixtrack pro fx. Loop midi doesn't show up in the accessibilitys cripts either when I'm asked to select a midi input device, even though I have a loop midi port configured.

Hi,

I just looked at that midi service restart fix, and that directly doesn't seem to have worked, although loop midi is somehow working now. However, No matter what I try, my physical controller doesn't work, even though the scripts report that it's present/ detected.

are you running the latest early access build of VirtualDJ. I think they have also added a temporary fix in that one for now . Also I  have put a small util to stop and start the midi service. just run it before running MallMuzik. here is a link.  MallMuzikStopStartMidiService.exe
 I was considering adding it in the MallMuzik software itself, but you need Admin permission to stop / start the midi service, and did not want to run MallMuzik in admin mode. and as Microsoft are going to fix it at some point, I thought I would just put it in a small util to do it.
