Hi Pete
Could you please find me for my reloop buddy
Definition file for a MIDI Controller
I have read on this page that:
The Definition File for a MIDI controller is a XML file installed in Documents / VirtualDJ / Devices / folder
But like most vdj files it is hidden.
I need to reorder the audio outputs on my controller
to have NVDA on the jack outputs instead of the RCA outputs.

They wrote on this page that:
• outputChannels - Optional when using default order. Use this to re-order the Output channels. E.g. in case Channels 3,4 should be used first for master out, and Channels 1,2 for headphones have outputChannels = "3,4,1,2" (default is 1,2,3,4).
So I need the order of 3,4,1,2
but as of yet i can't find that file.
Thanks for any help.

Later in this definition file, it would be useful for me to individually change the soft takeover for a few knobs.
As they say in the example on that page:
• ghost - (optional) set to "false" if you don't want the slider to offer a ghost fader (and by-pass the soft-takeover). Default is true.

Hi Zenek

the built in device definition files in VDJ, are not available to edit, I remember reading something about the device manufactures not allowing it. so not sure how this can be done. I will see if I can find the post on the VirtualDJ forums, where someone else asked for the file for a controller, and this was the response  they got.

Sorry.

Pete

Hi, thank you for your answer.
I was already thinking that I would solve my problem with NVDA channels and soft pick up for faders without soft pick up for knobs.
I will also write to VDJ an e-mail how to find and edit this file,
since they wrote about it on the wiki, it should probably be possible.
Probably not one NVDA user would like to hear it on channels 3, 4.
This slight modification to the definition file would make it possible.
Best regards

Sorry for the mechanical translator.
I meant that:
Probably a few NVDA users
they preferred to hear NVDA
to channels 3, 4.
