Hi, I’ve added all my songs into the side list in the correct order, apart from I forgot to add one song. So I’ve added the song, but now I can’t move it up or down in the list. IN the keyboard shortcuts list it suggests that you press command up and down to move the track, but command up moves VoiceOver to the top of the list, and command down moves VoiceOver to the bottom of the list. Control up and down, and option up and down don’t seem to do anything either. Any ideas?

odd, it does not work on windows either. normally on macOs you would get
a clash with some system keyboard shortcuts, but as it fails on windows
as well. its not that.
will have to do some checking. if you want I could send a pad page with
the ability to do it with, for the time being. or get Zenek to do it lol
(he seems to be a wizard at pad page scripting.)

Hi, It's working fine for me on Windows, so I didn't comment because I don't have any way to test it on a Mac.
Since you're also having problems on Windows, Pete, maybe a new VDJ update is messing something up? I haven't updated mine yet.

I just wanted to suggest building a clone of the keyboard shortcuts, only with modified shortcuts for Mac. But I don't know what change to suggest because I don't know what key combination isn't already in use. Maybe an equivalent of Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Up/Down?

Perhaps VoiceOver has a function called "pass next key."
Will using this function work for moving tracks on a Mac?
Or maybe the track moving shortcuts on a Mac only work after switching the keyboard to Library mode (Shift+b)?

Of course, I could create a special pad page and put an action there to move a track up and down.
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1LRHh4Iq69OJ3XLV6iTFsIJx4s2MWJ8a0
Copy this file to:
appdata/local/virtualdj/pads
Then launch VDJ and press:
Shift+w switches the keyboard to pad mode
Ctrl+= Ctrl+- until you hear "Browser Move Pads Page"
Ctrl+1 pad1 moves the track up
Ctrl+2 pad2 moves the track down
Ctrl+3 pad3 moves the track to the beginning
Ctrl+4 pad4 moves the track to the end
These perform the same actions as the keyboard shortcuts, so if they don't work, VDJ is probably the culprit.

Best regards, Zenek

Hi, thanks for these pads. Control 1 2 3 and 4 don’t do anything, but control shift 1 2 3 and 4 work perfectly. On the Mac you need to copy the pads to ~/Library/Application Support/VirtualDJ/Pads/

I think that’s the right path. I’ve had to type this out from memory, because copying the folder path is another thing that Mac have decided to make unfathomably difficult. A simple task on Windows turns into a pointless maze with Apple. Anyway, thanks for the pads. They are working great.
As for the VoiceOver pass next key command, that doesn’t work in this instance because command up and down arrow I think are universal Mac keyboard shortcuts to navigate to the top or bottom of  a list.

I was more concerned that VoiceOver was intercepting the Cmd key and that after using the pass-through function, the VDJ Cmd+Up/Down action would be executed.

It's strange that you have to press Shift. You can read the file "browser move" there. I wrote the actions for simply pressing pad1-4 without Shift.
I checked this website and it also says Ctrl+1-4 for Mac
https://virtualdjaccessibility.com/accesskeys.php#mackeys
so I have no idea why this is happening.
The most important thing is that it works now, and I'm glad I managed to help you. Best regards, Zenek.
