I'm using the code from this website, -to-make-a-python-auto-clicker/, and I feel like I have it setup correctly but I get some strange errors when I trigger the auto clicker. I'm modifying it to use a button on my mouse as the start and stop button instead of keys on my keyboard. I actually don't even need pynput.keyboard. My script runs but I get these errors when I press the button on my mouse:

My main goal in this project was to create an auto-fire button for the left mouse button as easily, cheaply, and simply as possible. Also, I wanted to retain all the standard functionality of the mouse.
I also drilled a small hole in the left side of the mouse for the push button. Be sure the location is comfortable to push with your thumb AND allows room for the button on the inside without interfering with the existing circuitry.
Basically, you held down some key(s) and pressed f11 to toggle between windowed and full screen. Then the command would continue to be input. This command would persist to be input even after you alt tab to something else. Honestly, I almost thought it was a feature.
In 1.14, there is a way to afk fish that means you can alt-tab out. You point and press with the mouse, and then unplug the mouse. This provides an autoclick that will work as an afk fisher. However, if you want to then leave Minecraft, you can reload the texture packs, (fn + F3 + T for Windows, cmd + fn + F3 + T for Mac) and then, while the packs are reloading, alt-tab out. Then, you can alt-tab in and out, no issues. Minecraft will still believe you are clicking, when in reality, you can be playing another game, or watching YouTube, or really anything else. In fact, I just did this while typing out this answer.
This is a 3rd party program for Windows, which allows you to emulate any number of keyboards and mice, and programmatically control them. Due to it's prevelance, most tasks you wish to accomplish have already been solved and shared online.
The effect is, once the key "F8" is pressed; AHK will begin looping the Click action. Once the F8 key is pressed again, the value of "Toggle" is reset, and the loop ends. It allows you to turn on and off the clicking. There are of course, much more complex auto-clicking techniques you can employ using AHK.
With it, you can not only write scripts to automate mouse and keyboard, but you can also just enter simple commands into the command line, including single key/mouse down/up events. So to permanently hold left click, just enter this into a command line after installing xdotool:
Yes, this is the dumbest, least intelligent solution, but it does ensure the mouse stays pressed. It also means you cannot do anything else with the machine while you're "automatically" clicking, but that may be true of the more intelligent (AutoHotKey, xdotool) responses as well (I am not entirely sure myself.)
I used this to simulate clicking on the screen for an idle game played in a website using Safari. It does work even on a MacBook with no numeric keypad. The script emulates the key code that would correspond to the numeric keypad '5', even if there is no physical key. You can use the keyboard shortcut 'alt/option' 5 times to turn Mouse Keys on or off. When off, key code 87 triggers the unicode for the number five. When on, key code 87 triggers a mouse button press/release cycle.
This became uncontrollable for me. My computer was clicking on whatever the mouse was over once per second (I changed the time in the above script from 10 to 1). Turning off Mouse Keys helped. Now instead of clicking, my computer was typing the number '5' repeatedly. Trouble is I couldn't stop it, or log off, or change user. Upon hard power down and restart the script was still there typing away.
While waiting on hold for Apple tech support I figured out I could Quit the Apple Script. If you follow the above instructions the script is an application. It is running in the dock. If you turn off Mouse Keys (alt 5 times) you at least have control of your mouse even though the computer is typing the number '5' repeatedly. Look in the dock for the script icon and quit it by one of two means:
