Hi everyone,

I was wondering what approach people have taken to requesting work internally or externally which they add to Accelo for their teams to deliver.

We are a marketing agency mainly using the projects module and have a centralised team for setting up work. I am looking to improve our current web form which is dated and not very flexible for prioritising requests.

I have not been able to find anything directly in Accelo (which would be my preference) with enough flexibility to ensure I get all the info I need (deadlines, scope of work etc).

The best I have come up with so far is a google form, but I haven't road-tested it yet.

Anyone found a good way to do this in or out of Accelo?

Tom

For Digital Marketing, we create a retainer with a set budget, then link the project so that it pulls from the retainer budget. Then for external requests we use the ticket module and have clients send in an email to our support mailbox which gets picked up in Accelo as a request. That gets turned on into a ticket and linked to the retainer budget. For internal we have people create requests from inside Accelo and that gets converted also to a ticket linked to the retainer. In theory you could still use the google form and have that send an email to Accelo with all the info.

Thanks so much for that info Marc. Really appreciate it!

I am going to give that a try that with the google forms pointing at the requests inbox and see if that gets our booking in of work a bit slicker.

Have a great day

Tom

Hey Tom
We also use Google forms directed to a request inbox but have also used an add_in that sends a formatted email notification with a pdf attached to it.

Here's an example

That is excellent, thanks for the great share Martin. Getting the info in the body of the message will help us to set prioritisation.
