Tasks in Pending Status

Happy new year everyone

Does anyone know if there is any reason to move tasks from pending status to accepted anymore? apart from as a label to show the task has been accepted.

When we first set up Accelo early 2017 I was of the understanding that it would impact due dates if a task was left in pending. I am wondering if there is any technical impact if we leave a task in pending.

The reason I ask is that we have a lot of tasks every month. Currently, we change them to staus of accepted for everyone as 99% of them will be accepted. So if we could save time not having to move them to accepted it would be a big time saver.
