Hi Accelo users,

Is anyone using the Accelo Signoff functionality to record customer approval for work you've completed?

We were all set to start using it to record customer signoff of milestones and projects until we realised that anyone who got hold of the emailed link could approve or decline the work.

I mean I love our customers, they're decent people, but I can easily imagine a situation where they deny Signing off on some work, and we've got no proof that they did. We can see someone clicked approve, but there's no logging in, and no logging of who.

For now we've reverted to our old method of asking for written approval in an email. Obviously with an email we have to send, receive and record the approval manually which is not nearly as cool, but crucially it carries some weight of proof of approval.

Best Regards

I agree, I started to use it, but it's just not really functional. It needs to be like an approval workflow with log in, signed and printed name and even expand it's functionality and allow it to be part of the workflow process in the sales and project portions. Creating multiple levels of sign-offs throughout the course of the same and project both internal and external could be fantastic. You could even I dunno..  tie a service ticket to a sign off and bam you've got a work order system too. Especially if it could work on mobile too!😁

Unfortunately no, as we had the exact scenario you described happen to us when we were using SIgn-Offs.... the old Plausible Deniability problem.... we have reverted back to POs and email confirmation until this module to improved and has real workflow functionality
