Hi,

I recently installed accelerad, followed all instructions, demos working too, but I have found that after copying contents from accelerad bin and lib folder, I am getting an error using anything involving rvu.

I tried objview command on a simple genbox room geometry and keep getting this error:

Picture1.png

I am using Radiance ver. 5.4a (2022-06-09) and internal specs are:

OptiX 6.8.3 found display driver 516.94, CUDA driver 11.7.0, and 1 GPU device
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design with 16 multiprocessors, 1024 threads per block, 1245000 Hz, 4294639616 bytes global memory, 1048576 hardware textures, compute capability 7.5, timeout disabled, Tesla compute cluster driver disabled.

Any idea what is causing this?

Thanks,
Samreet

Hi Samreet,

This could have occurred as a result of replacing the Radiance/bin/plugins folder with the one used by AcceleradRT, if the two contain different versions of the Qt libraries. There's no reason to move AcceleradRT into the Radiance/bin folder; that step is only for cases in which you want to replace a Radiance program with an Accelerad program to be called by an existing tool, and there is no Radiance version of AcceleradRT to replace. So I suggest keeping AcceleradRT and its plugins in the Accelerad folder.
