The OpenIDEO innovation community has created 120 (and counting) new ideas for designing an accessible election experience.
There are concepts as diverse as creating a support community of poll workers, or mapping real-time information on polling places, or using ATMs as ballot marking devices.
Many of them build on the concepts from our workshops. (You can see all of the posters of the election design concepts on our site.)
The community loves collaboration, so you will find them eager for discussion, comments, and your expertise, especially practical advice on disabilities and elections.
If you’ve been waiting to post an idea of your own, now is the time. There are 4 more days to post new concepts. After that
1. There are two days a round of applause for your favorite concepts to help choose a shortlist.
2. The community has just over a week to refine the concepts that make it to the shortlist. This is often a very active period, when discussion is very helpful.
I hope to see you on the OpenIDEO site.
