All - It was an exciting final yesterday and though it was a tie, we would like the committee to decide the winner based on the facts below which in my opinion is Black Caps in both the scenarios.1) We have defeated Skippers very convincingly in the league phase (Please refer to the 1999 World Cup Semifinal between Australia and South Africa. That match was a tie like ours and Australia advanced as they won against South Africa in the previous super six phase. This has been followed in ICC and based on Rule #1.9 in ACC rule book, the result should be in our favor as the ICC laws of cricket apply in this scenario). We had this in our mind during our last over yesterday as well and we thought that a tie would still mean a victory for us. Not that it is important but the umpires there also had expressed the same views but left it to the league to decide.2) Also, We are #1 in the playoff table with highest Net Runrate (Black Caps has 2.43 and Skippers 0.70)I hope the committee will consider all these above facts and decide the winner. And also in an attempt to complete the final this weekend, we have already tried to play on Saturday and again rescheduled it to Sunday. And now, with long weekend next week, Black Caps do not not have 50% of their team to play for any kind of rematch. I sincerely appreciate the effort that went into rescheduling this match by Sarti, Haris, Sohail, others and the umpires to let it happen.Regards,Aravind
Who's making new rules? I forwarded it to the umpiring committee because others cannot email to the umpiring committee.
You are suggesting a super over after a week which is not only a new rule but is also ridiculous. But I heard you out. You need to have the same patience and faith in others.
come at if you don't have that tie breaking rules I defined, then don't make make one up now,Has to be a joint winner or replayFrom my Android phone on T-Mobile. The first nationwide 4G network.

Ok Imran - l agree with your points. But I'll ask the same question I asked earlier - one team agrees to replay and other one doesn't what then?
Sohail,
I understand your point but a lot of times you force us to go easy on such characters.
You need to be strict about such people when Rizawi sahab and committee come up with strong verdicts and not force us to lower penalties. Some of these guys should be thrown out of the league and should never be allowed to play. They pose a risk to other good people.
If you don't take a zero tolerance approach with these bad characters then good people will leave and bad characters will dominate. I hope you don't let that happen, it will be unfortunate.
Thank you.
Sarti,
I'm witness most of the things from out side. Rizawi Sahab need to initiate the investigation. Your help and support always highly appreciated.
Too late and unfair to make both teams e replay the game. Joint winners should be declared and this rule should be amended ASAP and not next year. What if a tie happens in the APL game too?Secondly if both teams are declared winners, do both get the discount for the promotion?Manish

Yes. Please let us know asap.
I would like to know what factors will the management decision based their decision on if we choose not to take the options provided? Is the decision going to be only from one of those three options? ThanksMehul
Mehul,
Thank you for your consideration but the league is not going to pick the date.
We are asking the two teams to agree to a date and give us a format you want to play to decide the winner. There are only a couple of weekends left in October before real cold weather sets in so you guys agree to a date and let us know.
If the two teams can't agree then committee will impose a decision tomorrow.
With all due respect to everyone, last week when the match cancellation emails were flying around, Skippers had given their choice of reschedule dates. Because there was no mutual agreement for a reschedule date between Skippers and Black Caps, we played match the day it was originally scheduled which as everyone knows got rained out (field conditions became unsafe) and was played the next day according to the league rules. Now we are being asked to mutually agreed upon a date yet again??? All I am saying is all the events that took place last week was due to the fact both teas couldn't agree on a mutual date for this coming weekend. It would be unfair to both teams if league decided a date to play on because we all have other commitments as well. My suggestion and recommendation would be to take the decision of a winner based on the statistical data of the final match. Thanks.
Mehul
I totally agree with your points. I am only a messenger for this case and I am not making a voting decision.
The committee has already decided this matter and as a messenger I am letting you know that the decision is coming down tomorrow. Whether you get it from me or someone else the decision will be same.
If it makes you more comfortable you can contact any other committee member to get the same decision.
But the focus of this discussion is not me - it's you and Aravind. You guys need to give us a decision asap or the committee will be sending a decision tomorrow and if it makes you feel better I will have someone else send it to you.
Now we need answers from you guys.
Sarti,We appreciate all the hard work you put in to organize and run this league. However I think it is only fair the responses to this situation should be coming from other management members as you are part of the Black Caps. I don't mean any this in a disrespectful way but I would consider this a conflict of interest. I hope you understand. Thanks
Waiting for Aravind to confirm, Haris.
Aravind can let us know asap?
sarti, both teams agree to replay the game does that mean replay the 30 over final this sat

All - as I stated last week Skippers are available for Saturday October 11. We are still available this Saturday for a 30 over match. That is our only availability in coming weeks. ThanksMehul

As per latest email from Mehul, I am reading -
Mehul has agreed for Oct 11th
Waiting for Aravind.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Dhruvin
Can I have your phone number?
Guys here is the deal. Mehul is out of town so from now on I will be the point of contact.
Management asked us to do a rematch and we agreed to do a rematch this Saturday when the weather is acceptable. I request management to schedule a game this Saturday since it makes the most sense for a rematch. Secondly I respect aravinds view about the game next week but we have diwali festivities kicking off next week so it would be impossible for us to play next week as we will be involved with temple and families. Please let me know what the league is thinking?
Thanks, Dhruvin.
I would like to thank committee on coming up with quick solutions but due to work issues I am not able to gather up players for the night game Sarti called about. And to be honest I don't think it would be possible in weekdays. I sincerely apologize and wish that we get this issue resolved asap. But I don't know how to conjure up players for weekdays.
At this point of time as we inch closer to the weekend, if black caps aren't available, I hope the committee rethinks about joint championship and split the prizes. I know Sarti mentioned there has been no event or declaration of such thing in the past but I hope we get this resolved. I know it's frustrating to both teams and even more to the committee. I am not trying to delay this but trying to get it resolved as fast as possible. Thanks, Dhruvin
Sohail
They are not willing to come up with a date on their own.
That's why I am asking you to pick a date or declare joint champs.
Can you please make a decision?
Sarti,
Let them come up with date we should be able to manage two umpires for that game.

Next year? Half the people in the team rosters won't even be available next year.
Will we have the banquet in May?
Won't work Sohail.
It is team's problem to bring players from same roster. Banquet can be held with out Boom Boom decision?
If you going by the committee vote that is replay the game, then lets do it this Sunday no if or buts.
