Linda Jackson announces the third Edition of the SVCF European Academy.
The second edition of the SVCF European Academy held in the summer of 2025 was a
resounding success. Six riders from across North America were supported in a 5-week race
block working on their existing bike skills and learning new ones. In addition to multiple skills sessions, the riders competed in numerous races from local criteriums to national level kermesses and provincial championships, from Bruges, Belgium to Sittard, Netherlands. The group came away with two race wins, multiple top 20s and a huge amount of experience gained to take forward into their 2026 season.
Riders attending the 2025 Academy were:
Emmi Gilbert
Kenna Pfeiffer
Kylee Hanel
Mia Aseltine
Skype Pellerin
Taylor Tompkins
“As a young female athlete, to be recognized and to have the support of an organization like the SVCF Academy, it is invaluable.“ Skye Pellerin
“The SVCF academy was an amazing experience and introduction to Kermess racing in a
supportive and well organized environment. I learned so much and had a ton of fun!” Taylor
Tompkins.
Following the success of the first two editions of the SVCF European Academy, Linda Jackson today announced the third edition of the Academy to take place this summer.
The academy is open to all female North American athletes not currently on a UCI team. SVCF provides financial support for the athletes for the four-week racing block in Belgium/Netherlands during July/August by covering all flights, accommodation, transportation, race entries, skills training and race coaching. Managed by Rachel and Adrian Hedderman, the Academy will focus on skills training followed by kermesse racing, giving riders the opportunity to practice the skills learned with multiple races per week.
Applicants selected must provide their own equipment and cycling kit. Successful 2026
applicants must provide power file access as part of the application process. Applications must be received by April 15th.
Silicon Valley Cycling Foundation’s mission (Siliconvalleycyclingfoundation.org) is to support aspiring North American female cyclists by helping them develop the skills they will need to race at the top international level.
