Hello Friends,

Hope you are having an amazing Autumn!

It is just a few days before the Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)  conference in Manchester, and I want to announce a very exciting online 8 week course
that Dr. Laura Silberstein Tirch and I will be teaching with Praxis continuing education. Special guests like Paul Gilbert
have agreed to drop in during the course, and we have been hard at work crafting a unique learning opportunity.

This course is designed for people who have begun learning about CFT, either through workshops, books or courses, and who would like
to deepen their understanding and practical application with didactic learning and supervision.

The course begins one week from tomorrow and involves a 2 hour class for 8 weekly sessions.

Over the course of eight, two-hour, interactive sessions, you will explore how the science of compassion can be used to enhance and expand clinical work by learning Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

In this workshop, you’ll learn how:

  •  Cultivating compassion can undermine fusion with shame based self-criticism
  •  To help clients better accept and e ectively respond to anxiety and other di cult emotions
  •  To practice and teach compassion focused imagery methods and guided meditations drawn from CFT, Buddhist Psychology and ACT
  •  To formulate a compassion focused case conceptualization for people being treated for anxiety and mood disorders

Through small group work and a series of experiential exercises you will experience compassion first hand. And you will get to have your questions and concerns addressed by the top trainers in compassion focused therapy, including Professor Paul Gilbert, the founder of CFT, and Dr. Chris Irons.
