Hello Friends,

I thought I would pass along this announcement I received from Dr. Yotam Heinberg about a CFT workshop that CFT founder, Dr. Paul Gilbert is offering in California next month.

Just passing this along as several members of the community have requested more information about upcoming CFT trainings as they arise.

Please pardon any cross posting.

Sending Good Wishes,

Dennis

Hello, we are excited to share with you the details for an upcoming workshop by the creator of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Professor Paul Gilbert!

We would be delighted if you might consider joining us, and deeply appreciative if you were to forward this email to any interested individuals,
and relevant email lists. The workshop will take place on March 12th, in Palo Alto, California, details are below. 7 CEU will be provided for the day.

CFT is an evolutionary and neuroscience-based approach, which utilizes cognitive behavioral principles, and then goes beyond it, by integrating
elements of attachment, mindfulness, shame processing, emotion regulation and of course relying on the power of compassion as the central axis point.

Professor Paul Gilbert was the 2003 president of the British Association for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy.
He is the head of the Mental Health Research Unit as well as Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Derby,
England. He is the founder and creator of Compassion-Focused Therapy. He has published and edited 21 books and
well over 200 academic papers.

More details can be found in the registration link here - http://laberginstitute.com/introduction-to-cft-worskhop/

Thank you, and looking forward to seeing many of you at the event.

If you are contacting me about clinical, confidential or urgent concerns, please reach me directly by telephone at 845-664-1498I find that email is not the most efficient way for us to be in touch, particularly during clinical hours, due to the volume of email that arrives.
