to Louise Hayes
Hi All,

My dear friend and respected colleague Louise Hayes will be coming to my home state of New Jersey on September 16-17 to give a training called Thriving Adolescent. I am super excited to share this news, not only because I think so much of Louise, but because the work she is doing with young people is absolutely fascinating. She has coupled her background in positive psychology with her deep knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to create a method of treating adolescents that brings a truly developmental focus to working with young people. And she has broken down concepts like defusion, mindfulness, and values-based living in a way that is easy for adolescents to understand and implement in their lives.

If you work with young people in any capacity at all, I strongly encourage you to attend the workshop. No background in ACT is necessary, and the training is not only for clinicians but teachers, counselors, social workers—really anyone who works with adolescents.

And if you know of anyone who may be interested, please make sure to forward this email along to them. I’d really appreciate it!

If you receive this email more than once, please pardon me for cross-posting to several of the discussion lists I am involved with.
I just feel very strongly that Louise’s training is excellent and I want to spread the word.

By the way, I have no commercial relationship or professional investment in this workshop, other than my wanting my friends and colleagues to have the best that evidence based therapies can offer right at their fingertips.

Sending Good Wishes,

Dennis
