Hello Friends,
Here at The Center for Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), we hope you are having a wonderful, mindful and purposeful Summer! As we gear up for a season of "back to school" personal development and professional growth, we are happy to offer three new CFT trainings, all facilitated by Dr. Dennis Tirch and Dr. Laura Silberstein. One online intensive course, one experiential weekend and an ongoing group training are ready for you.
This is a one time announcement of Compassion Focused Therapy training events and group skills training here in the USA. Please pardon the possible cross posting, as members of the CFT, ACT and other communities have sent several requests for us to get the word out about CFT training more effectively!
1. Compassionate Mind Training Weekend Workshop in Oakland, California with Praxis Continuing Education - 9/16-9/17.
This intensive experiential training will be a deep exploration of the imagery, meditation and psychotherapy techniques we use in CFT. Learning CFT from the inside out, and using these techniques for ourselves, we will draw upon affective neuroscience, behavior therapy and Buddhist psychology to cultivate Fierce Compassion and Mindful Bravery. 2. The Art & Science of Compassion II - An Online Training in CFT and Compassion Science - Tuesdays 5-7 Eastern - 9/12 - 10/31: Following our sold-out, intensive introductory course in 2017, The Art and Science of Compassion II will explore more advanced mindful compassion practices, which form the foundations of mastering Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). We all know that compassion is an important part of the therapeutic alliance, but recent advances in psychological research, theory and practice have suggested that compassion may be one of the most important processes in psychotherapeutic effectiveness.
