I like that AutoIt makes it very easy to change version numbers, icons, and compression of your compiled scripts (when compiling to exe). The default compression will sometimes cause false positives with some anti-virus software.

But you're blocking the overall volume for someone listening to music maybe? Use Jos's idea and make your own custom message box. It's consisting from an image with text and title. Making it a modal or modeless isn't difficult at all. Don't forget optional arguments... ';]

/CSB Time. I work with a DOS 6.22 Based Radio Automation Program running on Win 98. Last programmed version 2005. It does backups to a redundant harddrive. 6 years ago, lightning destroyed the system, leaving only the backup. We were able to move our backup hardware in, but when you put the backup drive in (after cloning it, to have another backup), the colors were horrible (for DOS) and a warning about contacting the company (no longer in bitnezz) on the screen. After much wailing and gnashing, and finger pointing as to why Lightning hit us (300 foot tower with transmitters on site, duh) I was able to determine the Volume Label of the Dos Drive that wasn't the backup was whateverPRIMARY, and the backup was whateverBACKUP. Hmm. Lets change the volume label of the backup. Ding Ding Ding. Never, Never ever underestimate quick and dirty. Actually, it usually wins.

In addition, the ability to host code on Pastebin, natively compile, and run applications in stand-alone executable files makes it very quick to develop in. Meanwhile, he added, native support of UPX packing in AutoITmakes obfuscation easy for AutoIT applications.

I'm calling my autoit script via command line (sometimes, as it also has a GUI). When I call it, the program starts and immediately returns control to the CMD window. How can I make it hold the cmd window until my program exits?

The PCRE (Regular Expression) ToolKit for AutoIT - (Updated Oct 20, 2011 ver:3.0.1.13) - Please update your current version before filing any bug reports. The installer now includes both 32 and 64 bit versions. No change in version number.

We get a list of mouse moves which we copies from the recorder to a Invoke Code activity from UiPath. All we have to do now is to set the prefix AutoIt.AutoItX- in front of every command. You can do this very fast via an replace command in your favorite editor. Replace CrLf with CrLfAutoIt.AutotItX. Now only the first line we must change manually.

Hello Tom,
welcome in the UiPath Community.
Great to hear that you want to combine your consolidated automation scripts with UiPath.
Let us know in due course your experience, especially your integration scenario with the orchestration.
Thanks and best regards
Stefan

This command in AutoIt communicates very quickly and the phone has been controlled faster. Is it suitable for it to work from within the uipath because the communication system in the mobile through the uipath program is very slow and has many problems

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays. - ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script. - Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label. - _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file - SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor - GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI. - Latin Square password generator

I don't believe RA supports interacting with desktop popups. So I don't think you will be able to do what you're looking to do. However, you may improve your chances of getting this to work by configuring your Nolio Agent service -> Log On tab and put a check in the checkbox for "Allow service to interact with desktop".

The answer to question is like: Production Support Team has a scenario like during Deployment of their application they need to delete some of the files which are present in the particular drive (C:\Some folder\.text file). Also as per their requirement we need to work on one of the tool BMC Migrator by taking the RDC to this tool and perform some of the actions in the tool like logging into the tool, Checking the version of the tool, adding some of the servers etc. I am attaching some of the snap shots just for your reference so that you can also get the idea and suggest me some alternative approach.

If you are into IT administration, it adds flexibility to your old Visual Basic scripts. For me, I got into it when I took our old VB scripts, put it into a polished GUI, and become the hero of the day.

I don't know, I think it would help get into other languages. As it teaches the basics of structured programming and variables, which are probably the most important things, also it lets you get some pretty robust projects under your wing, allowing you to have better targets. What makes programming hard is not having objectives that are feasible and at the same time useful, and auto it, lets you set the bar high enough to make stuff that is useful from the beginning.

As for learning your first language, it's usually easier to learn a first language than learning additional ones, since the mental bias is less when you have no knowledge to start with. After learning a few programming languages, you usually tend to start thinking in terms of one particular language you use. That's just how the brain works. We process new knowledge by putting it in terms of what we already understand.

Mine doesn't work. And I'm on my own machine with full rights to everything so I don't even need to run it as admin. I think this means I'm not doing the delete properly. Basically I just tried plugging my stuff into your line but somethign is amiss and I'm not figuring out how to troubleshoot it.

Thanks for your quick response @Webillo!
I have to say, the story looks mostly the same and so very promising!
To be on the safe side, I will switch off the internal compass too. I already have positioned the external compass (in the gps module) as far in front as possible (far away from the magical engine).

Since I start using RegExp more and more, I need a tool for quickly testing patterns. I tried script, created by steve8tch and w0uter, it's works fine, but I was bored to click Test button after 5 minutes

Anticipating Errors : "Any program that accepts data from a user must include code to validate that data before sending it to the data store. You cannot rely on the data store, ...., or even your programming language to notify you of problems. You must check every byte entered by your users, making sure that data is the correct type for its field and that required fields are not empty."

If this is your first time working with a Phidget, we suggest starting with the Getting Started page for your specific device. This can be found in the user guide. That page will walk you through installing drivers and libraries for your operating system, and will then bring you back here to use AutoIt specifically.

In lieu of example code, to begin in AutoIt you can create a new script file and open it with your preferred editor. Then, create a simple user interface to work with and then place an input control for the purpose of capturing some simple output:

To learn the details behind opening, configuring, using, and closing your Phidget, try the General Phidget Programming page. That page also describes using the Phidget in an event-driven manner and in a traditional manner, both of which are available in AutoIt.
