yesthe icon is in the sim and loads. When it loads it gives an error message: warning: "external fs2crew command centre program not running. Cmd centre now inop. probable EXE.xml corruption. problem". I assumed that I needed to install the command centre from the downloads page but as you said it gets installed automatically.

But can you load PBE or FBW via the Command Center in spite of the error?

What if you start the Command Center manually?

Run the Command Center EXE located here and try again. You can start the Command Center manually even after MSFS has loaded.

I have tried all of your suggestions and the program will still not launch within the sim. I have both programs running and I have updated the exe.xml. I wasn't sure if I did the tight thing because the xml files had different names. I edited the xml with notepad+ and it did not make a difference.

Hi Mike,

FYI, the tool bar is just a "launcher". It launches the EXE so you don't need to manually trigger it from the desktop. You can still use in in VR, but you'll need to use Voice Commands or Hotkeys. You won't be able to see the actual PBE panel, but you really don't need to see it so it's ok.

At any rate, can you please send me a PM.

I need the full actual path to your EXE.xml so we can try to see the common denominator between the users with this issue.

Hi am using FS2Crew in VR and have come across a problem with the command center in the latest version... Once FS2Crew loads there are no icons in the command center and the dialog box (Basic Information) is not there so I cannot use the Command center in VR. FS2Crew works fine in Non-VR mode. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall same problem .. The only fix is to install the fs2crewbeta version over the latest install, this gives me back the Command Center with all icons and dialog. The only problem with this I cannot use the "new night mode"

You may need to uninstall the FS2Crew FBW program, AND!, go to your MSFS's community folder and delete (manually) the folder named "fs2crew-cmd-center". Once you have done that, reinstall FS2Crew FBW program (via the Products manager), then the setup itself will reinstall the Command Center with the new files.

Will do... The icons I am referring to are the clock (start pre-flight), mute button, and the checklist help in the command centre. The dialog box is blank but fs2crew has loaded and is working. (2d mode) Fs2crew is showing in the MSFS toolbar and works (brings up the command centre) but as i said when you select FS2crew FBW nothing happens.

Also, I think, the issue maybe on the WASM directory, in the "community" folder did you try deleting also the "fs2crew-data-proc"?, maybe the WASM is not the correct version or it's not detecting it, because if that's not working it will not trigger. Try to (and I know that i's almost like again):

We have made progress !.. I followed your instructions and initially had the the same problem... (at this point the config window was open to check port no,) I closed the config window and Fs2crew command center started to work.. I have check the night mode off an on and all seems to be working fine... In the updated version it seems that the command center will not work if the config window is open. I have check this a few time, if the config window is open the program pauses (command center non responsive) once I close the config windows everything is fine. (certainly on my machine anyway) I never had this issue in the previous version.

I've tried uninstalling FS2Crew FBW via the windows uninstall program list, but the command center still opens when I launch MSFS. I've also tried removing FS2CREW related folders from the (I believe it was) community folder, it the command center still auto launches when I launch MSFS.

Still having issues with uninstalling the command center. I don't see it in the windows add/remove program list. I saw it in my appdata and removed it, but it still pops up when I launch the sim. Any other ideas?

Hi byork, Thanks for the response. I have done all you suggested but FS2Crew Command Center is still not auto opening when I start MSFS. Is it possible to let me have the text of a known working exe.xml file so I can check against what I have?

Yes, the Command Centre is supposed to auto-load when MSFS is run. Should see the icon in the Taskbar. There is some info on this here -command-center-troubleshooting/ under the title 'Problem:

The FS2Crew Command Center does not autostart when MSFS loads. I do not see the FS2Crew Command Center (red airplane nose icon) in the toolbar.'

Before writing to you I have tried all the options from the troubleshoot sections ( -command-center-troubleshooting/) but nothing worked. I am still getting the same error message. I have even uninstalled Windows, MSFS2020 and reinstalled FS2 crew products from the product manager in vain. I really don't know what to do next. I am a bit lost with it.

Still no fix for this. I tried to redownload 10.4...no difference. I tried downloading more liveries from the command center...nothing. Andy B. seems to have an answer, but I don't understand how to do what he mentions. Someone on the PMDG gave a similar cryptic answer, as well. We are not all computer gurus. I can't find any how to's on Youtube for this either. Frustrating. I was hoping to try out this smaller version of the 737. But at least CPM now works on the -700. I don't regret donating the $35 to PMDG. They are a fine company.
