EMPATHY

"Look beyond your own reality and try to understand the way others see the world."

Write about a time when you have experienced empathy, or have shown empathy.  Why is this characteristic important?

I feel empathy when they get my brother in trouble because he gets all sad and it makes me want to take the blame for him. This characteristic is important because it shows that you care and that you don't like seeing people get hurt or feel sad

When my friend he told me his story and he told me about his childhood and how his dad didn't want him and then how his mom got a husband and he would hit him because he looked like his real dad and his step dad would feel jealous and would hit him... and that made me feel empathy because now he is on emp and he is really depressed and traumatized.

I remember one of my oldest friend's mom past away because of a drunk driver and at the time me and him was a 14 years old and few guys was talking about his mom saying she was a drug attic, did not take care of her son and my friend did not say anything he just stood there a had to hear every word. I got upset and started to talk about them saying how they still living like bums while me and my friend is still getting our education and that one day we will leave this dump we live in and live in paradise.

Well I always show empathy, especially to people I don't really know. I had to give my dollar that my mom gave me for the icecream man to a lady that was collecting money to bury her mom.

And where is the line between taking the blame for someone because you don't like to see them sad and feeling sad because you are watching them make decisions that will get them in trouble?
