"As a country, I think we've become more focused on what is important and on the challenges we face. Focused on our national identity. And focused on the world beyond our borders -- after years of looking ever-inward, Americans are once again looking outward, in a way I haven't seen since the height of the Cold War. While no one would ever say that September 11 was in any way a good thing, these developments may ultimately prove to be healthy for a democratic nation such as ours, one that wields such great influence and power on the world stage but one that is, as we have learned in such a hard way, still vulnerable to those who hate us." -Dan Rather, former news anchor for the CBS Evening News

"For me and my family personally, September 11 was a reminder that life is fleeting, impermanent, and uncertain. Therefore, we must make use of every moment and nurture it with affection, tenderness, beauty, creativity, and laughter." -Deepak Chopra, M.D.

Please respond to these quotes.  What do you know about the attacks from September 11? What feelings do these bring to the surface for you?

9-11 was a terrorist act all conspired from the mind of Osama Bin Laden. It has no deep effect on me. It happened and we cant change it.

I agree September 11 was in any way not a good thing, nor was was it for Osama. We may have been hurt by our past and will never for get it but we all must know that seeking revenge has it's price.

I think that 9/11 was an inside government job. There is too much evidence that goes against it simply being a terrorist attack with airplanes. Clearly, many lives were lost and it will always be remembered as one of the most tragic days the United States of America has ever endured.

I think 9/11 is a day of remembering the people that were killed in the terrorists attack. It surfaces feelings of anger and sadness but at the end of the day I celebrate life by being with the people i care and love.
