With the cross platform release a few days ago, I tried to invite a playstation buddy to my crew from pc, but theres a locked logo. Is it a future feature? Or no intention on that feature existing? Thanks.
Seems absurd that they would have both crews and include cross platform play but have them be exclusive of each other. Like, yeah you can totally play with your friends on the surface, but beyond that you still need to be divided. Absolute facade level development.
As an avid gamer and a member of the military who is often stationed far away from my family, playing games has become one of the few ways I can connect with my younger brother. We both share a passion for racing games, and we were thrilled to discover that The Crew: Motorfest offers cross-play functionality. However, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment when we realized that co-op, free-roam, and party features are not available between different platforms. Crossplay is only used for matchmaking to ensure full lobbies.
My brother owns an Xbox while I have a gaming PC. Despite having the ability to play the game separately, we are unable to fully enjoy the game's cooperative gameplay elements or explore its vast open world together. This limitation greatly hinders our ability to bond over shared experiences and creates a sense of isolation even when we try to connect virtually.
The addition of full cross-play support for co-op and free-roam in The Crew: Motorfest would not only enhance our gaming experience but also benefit countless other players who face similar challenges due to geographical distance or platform differences. It would allow friends and family members separated by circumstances beyond their control to come together in virtual worlds, fostering stronger connections despite physical separation.
We understand that implementing such features may require technical adjustments and coordination between different platforms. However, it is worth noting that many popular games have successfully incorporated full cross-play support across various platforms without sacrificing gameplay quality or security measures.
According to recent statistics from industry reports (source: -crossplay-gaming-demand.html there has been an increasing demand for cross-platform play among gamers worldwide. Players want the freedom to choose their preferred platform without being limited by compatibility issues or restrictions on multiplayer functionalities.
By adding full cross-play support for co-op and free-roam in The Crew: Motorfest, Ubisoft can demonstrate its commitment towards inclusivity, player satisfaction, and fostering meaningful connections between gamers. This move would not only attract a wider player base but also strengthen the game's community and longevity.
We, the undersigned, urge Ubisoft to listen to the voices of its dedicated players and take action by implementing full cross-play support for co-op and free-roam in The Crew: Motorfest. Let us bridge the gap between platforms and create an immersive gaming experience that brings friends and families closer together.
Thank you for considering our petition. Together, let's make gaming a truly inclusive experience for all.
Best Regards,
Elijah Burns
The Crew Motorfest is giving Forza Horizon some serious competition. Ubisoft's new open-world racer is out now on consoles and PC, and that leads to an important question: is The Crew Motorfest crossplay?
The Crew Motorfest is out on PlayStation 5 as well as Xbox Series XS and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Ubisoft Connect, and Epic Games (not Steam). In addition to current-gen platforms, The Crew Motorfest is also available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and looks surprisingly good on the older hardware.
While The Crew Motorfest is currently not on Game Pass, it's available on day one for Ubisoft Plus subscribers. Ubisoft is even offering a free five-hour trial between 14 and 17 September to celebrate the launch. This opens the game up to a much wider audience than Forza Horizon.
With most recent Ubisoft titles offering cross-platform support, it's not surprising that The Crew Motorfest supports crossplay at launch. This means players on PC can compete against players on console, and vice versa.
There is a caveat, however: The Crew Motorfest only supports crossplay multiplayer in the Grand Race and Demolition Royale PVP modes. If crossplay is enabled, the lobbies will be populated with players on all platforms. However, The Crew Motorfest's crossplay doesn't support friend invites at the time of writing.
Friends on other platforms will show on the player's Ubisoft Connect friends list, but there is no way of inviting friends into PVP multiplayer sessions at the time of writing. This makes it frustratingly difficult to play with friends in PVP matches unless you happen to join the same lobby.
Unfortunately, crossplay doesn't support co-op matches either. The Crew Motorfest lets you team up and form 'crews' of up to four players to explore O'hau and enter custom events, but ever player needs to be on the same platform.
Crossplay can be enabled or disabled in the options. To disable crossplay, select 'Options' in the main menu. Then choose 'Game Settings' and go to 'Matchmaking.' From here, you can toggle crossplay on or off. Crossplay can't be disabled on PC, however.
Unlike other open-world racing games like Need for Speed Unbound, The Crew Motorfest is out on the last-gen PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Despite the age of these platforms, The Crew Motorfest looks surprisingly good on PS4 and Xbox One. This makes Ubisoft's open-world racer accessible to a wider audience.
Ubisoft has confirmed The Crew Motorfest supports crossplay on all platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. This means The Crew Motorfest can be played cross-platform across different generations, so PS5 players can compete with PS4 players. Likewise, Xbox Series XS players can also compete with Xbox One players.
Another important question is if The Crew Motorfest supports crossplay, is it does it support cross-progression? Cross-progression is where you can play on one platform, for example, PC, before switching to another platform to continue with the same progression.
The answer to this is more good news. The Crew Motorfest does indeed support cross-progression. All players need to do is purchase the game on their platforms of choice, and then sign into their Ubisoft account to access their progression.
With the technological advances in the last couple of years, it would be impossible to allow cross-gen without compromising the performance of last-gen versions. This would also limit PC players to crossplay with current-gen consoles only.

Bomber Crew is a strategic bomber game where you micromanage the crew of a Lancaster-Bomber during WWII. It is one of those games with no real story where the challenge comes from keeping your plane in the air without dying to much, and then do it over and over again. If I would make a comparison it would be FTL (Faster than Light) and Sunless Sea. Considering FTL is one of my favourite games of all time and a game I still play from time to time I had great hopes for Bomber Crew. Did it live up to the hype? Well, almost.
Bomber Crew is out now on the Nintendo Switch, PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), Xbox One and PS4 and we tested it on both a Xbox One X and a PC. The main bulk of the review was done on a Alienware R5 laptop with a generation 8 Core i5 and a GTX1060 videocard.
If you start the game new you will get the chance to run through a tutorial to learn the controls. if you however start the game after a few sessions (and deaths) you will be met by some of the fallen heroes in your game.
Yes, I will never forget Sgt Delbert Hill, Virgil Trimming and Max Murphy. Actually, I already have forgotten them. Because this is a game where you should do everything to keep your crew alive but where you quickly will learn that there is no use to get to attached to the crew-members as they ultimately all will be replaced during the game.
The airfield is where you select everything you want to do. It also shows some statistics. In this case quite early during my play-through I had already lost 2 bombers and 7 aircrew during 14 missions.
I think the Germans would have left this plane alone just from sheer confusion. As far as I can see the paint work does not affect how visible your plane is so feel free to channel your inner Freddy Mercury.
As you progress through the game you earn money and experience points and this means you can upgrade the plane with cool new stuff, both for defence and offence. When a plane is destroyed you get a new one and while some add-ons are gone others will be transfered to the new plane.
Each mission starts with a briefing where you can select from a number of different available missions. For each mission you get to know the difficulty as well as how much you will earn from the mission. If you bought the add-on Secret Weapons you can also select those missions but the game tells you if it feels the difficulty is too high for your level.
Each crew member has their role in the game but the role is actually determined by the station where they sit. So you can send a gunner to the pilots seat and stear the plane (albeit not as well) and so on.
Inside the plane you select a crew-member and then click where you want him/her to go. It is unfortunately a bit too easy to miss-click in my opinion so sometimes it is easier to click on the name in the list instead. Still, in the heat of the battle (and as you see in this screenshot from the video things are not looking good) it is easy to send a crew-member to the wrong spot and for example instead of getting him to heal the dying guy have in stand beside him twiddling his thumbs.
