Meeting at the ACA conference in Edmonton

Hi all,

I've been contacted about the annual SIS meeting at the ACA Conference.  They need to know by today (I apologize for the late notice, the email was sent on Saturday but I tend not to check my work email on the weekend) if meeting on Wednesday June 6th from 2pm to 5 pm would work as a time for the meetings.

For those attending the ACA conference, does this date and time work for you?  I know in the past the Wednesday has been a challenge as many do not arrive till late Wednesday or on Thursday.  They offered the alternative of meeting during the lunch on the Saturday but I know some people leave early on the Saturday.  So neither time is completely ideal but also it is a busy conference so I understand what a challenge it is to find an ideal time for the SIS meetings.  I know there is very little turnaround on this but if you're attending the conference and have a preference could you please get in touch?  Specifically if you really want to meet.

I vote for a lunch on the saturday. Not many people will be here on the wednesday so it makes getting people to come kind of tricky.

Hi all,

With apologies to Jana who expressed a preference for the Wednesday meeting, I think we're going to go with the Saturday.  Beyond the fact that some people don't arrive till the Wednesday night, meeting on the Wednesday usually conflicts with TAATU and since our members tend to skew towards the technical side of archives this could be a problem for some of our members.  I've emailed the committee to indicate we'd like space to meet on the Saturday at lunch.
