Hello,

I write to confirm that I have secured enough permissions to provide all practice courtrooms requested by all schools. The following schools will have the indicated number of courtrooms available each evening:

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Alliance Charter Academy - 1 courtroom

Lake Oswego High School - 2 courtrooms

Lakeridge High School - 1 courtroom

West Linn High School - 2 courtrooms

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Alliance Charter Academy - 1 courtroom

Colton High School - 1 courtroom

Lake Oswego High School - 1 courtroom

Sandy High School - 1 courtroom

West Linn High School - 2 courtrooms

Please notify me if you believe you requested a different number of courtrooms for your school, or a different day than the one indicated. Also, please remember to get me lists of people you expect to attend no later than 4:00 pm on the date of the practice round they will be attending. If any attendees wish to bring a camera to photograph the round, you must let me know in advance. Security will not allow any cameras into the courthouse without a written permit, which I must prepare in advance. Be sure everyone who is coming is aware of this rule, so there is no risk cameras will be confiscated at security!!

We will only be providing space -- not judges. You must bring your own judges to give rulings in your practice rounds.

NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COURTROOMS EXCEPT WATER ON PRACTICE NIGHTS.
(The only exception to the no food and drinks in the courtrooms rule is made if a courtroom is assigned as a meeting space for competition day.)

The judges who have agreed to allow this use of their courtrooms have expressed great concern that items may be moved or removed from the courtroom. WE EXPECT ALL IN ATTENDANCE TO RESPECT THE NEED TO LEAVE THE COURTROOMS EXACTLY AS THEY FIND THEM. Penalties may be assessed against any team that violates this expectation.

Thank you for being careful to observe all these rules!!

Hon. Susie L. Norby, Co-Coordinator
Clackamas County Regional Mock Trial Competition
