Please email all of the drafts to google group for others to help edit. Bring a
couple of copies of the draft to Thursday's meeting.
The witness questions must include the complete answers that the witness should
state on the stand. The answers are almost more important than the questions.
On direct try to have an order that flows naturally and stay away
from irrelevant or duplicate questions. On cross examination pick out key
things you want the witness to admit.
We have less than two and a half weeks before that the date of the competition.
It is critical that everyone make every attempt to attend the meetings on
Tuesday and Thursday. We will be meeting between 2:00pm and 5:00pm in order to
accomodate the different schedules. (Please come as you are able.)
I am waiting to hear from Judge Norby regarding which night (2/15 or 2/17) will
be avaible for our team to meet at the Clackamas County Courthouse for a
rehearsal in an actual courtroom. She needs a list of exactly who will be
attending the event. Please email me by Friday 2/11 if you will be available to
attend the 2/15 and/or 2/17 and any names of parents that might be accompanying
you. (I am not given a choice as to the night.) Also, this will not be open to
friends.
Thanks for your hard work.
See you tomorrow,
Beth Wicklund
