Hi All,
Sorry for the mass email, but the City has asked the cycling community for our input and suggestions on the developing bicycle master plan. This is a chance for YOUR voice to be heard.
The difference between this plan and that of 2009 is that the City is now focusing not just on the 1-2% who ride now, but on the 30-40% of the population who say they are interested in cycling but concerned about safety. That requires a different kind of facility than just a painted bike lane on the street.
Please add your opinions to the survey.
Thanks!

It's Your Path to Austin and we'd like your input! The City of Austin is working on a Bicycle and Urban Trails Plan that will help us achieve a connected and protected active transportation network in Austin. This plan will increase opportunities for people to safely bike around town, regardless of age or biking ability.
Please consider attending one of our important open houses. You'll be able to learn more about the plan and give us your input. Here's the schedule:
November 13 | 5:30-8:30pm
North Open House | Lanier Highschool
November 14 | 5:30-8:30pm
South Open House | First Ev. Free Church of Austin
You can view the event flier for all three events here. Don't forget to visit our website to learn more about the innovative strategies being explored to create a connected and protected network, including the use of Cycle Tracks and Urban Trails.
We hope you'll get involved in shaping Your Path to Austin. Please share this opportunity with others who would be interested.
