We are trying to schedule a League Cycling Instructor class for Austin on the weekend of September 28-30. We need your help to find a venue for the class.
Here are the times and requirements for the program.
- Classroom
- The room should be big enough to hold 15 people and have secure space for storing bicycles.
- We will be doing PowerPoint presentations so the room should have curtains on the windows and hopefully a screen.
- We will be in the classroom the following times
- Friday: 4pm to 8:30pm
- Saturday: 11am to 7pm
- Sunday: 10am to 3pm
- Parking lot
- We will need a parking lot no more than 10 minutes ride away (2 miles)
- Should be available
- Saturday: 8am to 11am
- Sunday: 8am to 10am
- Needs to be 150 x 80 feet (that is four bays 12-15 spaces long)
- On-Road
- We need traffic and a busy intersection within no more than 10 minutes ride away (2 Miles)
- At least four legs on the intersection and should be traffic light controlled.
- Each leg should have some different lanes (right turn only, left turn only, etc.)
- We will be using this space on Saturday and Sunday morning.
- Night Ride
- Need an area with limited street lights no more than 10 minutes away (2 miles)
- Will be using this space on Saturday night
- A neighborhood street would be adequate.
If your company has a facility that meets the classroom criteria and would be willing to donate the space to the ACA and the League of American Bicyclists we would like to hear from you.
