Obituary Terry Hoggatt
Terry Duane Hoggatt, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.He was born June 29, 1948 in Highland County, the son of the late Ralph and Lucille (Swain) Hoggatt.Terry worked at Airborne Express as an avionics technician for over 25 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force — Ohio Air National Guard.He was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ and he also attended the Allensburg Church of Christ. He was a member of the Singing Christmas Tree program at the Wilmington Church of Christ and a member of the Unified Christian Men's Chorus.He was an avid supporter of the Lynchburg boys' and girls' basketball teams and helped with the Upward Basketball program at the Wilmington Church of Christ. He enjoyed drag racing, going to auctions and yard sales.Terry loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, friends and serving the Lord with all his heart and soul.He is survived by his wife, Jolene Hoggatt, whom he married on October 15, 1969 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana; a daughter, Lori (Chad) Campbell of Kettering; three grandchildren, Kegan Campbell, Kaden Campbell and Kelin Campbell; three siblings, Joan (Paul) Gray of Shreveport, Louisiana, Dave (Alice) Hoggatt of Hillsboro and Gary Hoggatt of Milford; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeanette (Tom) Yankey of Hillsboro, Jacqueline (Tony) Michael of Wilmington, Jerry (Sandy) Berwanger of Sardinia, Judy (Joe) Carlier of Sardinia and Jeff (Lilly) Berwanger of Greenfield; his father-in-law, Joe (Barbara) Berwanger of Lynchburg; and several nieces, nephews and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen "Mike" Hoggatt; and his step-mom, Ella "Francis" Hoggatt.Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, August 3 at the Wilmington Church of Christ. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4 at the Wilmington Church of Christ. Dale McCamish will be officiating.Burial with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will take place following services in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in Terry's name to the Wilmington Church of Christ, 909 W.
