Environmental author and food activist Lisa Kivirist will speak at
Scattergood School, West Branch, IA, on Nov. 2, and Drake University,
Des Moines, IA, on Nov. 3. Both events begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free
and open to the public. “Sowing Fresh Seeds” will profile women “eco-
preneurs” and how to get started living the greener, saner life you
want. Sponsored by WFAN, Practical Farmers of Iowa, and the MOSES
Rural Women’s Project.
