Volunteering for the Green Team at Iowa Arts Festival in Iowa City this weekend

Volunteers…. Summer of the Arts needs YOU to help to make it all happen! We have an exciting summer of FREE, family-friendly fun planned, but in order for our festivals to be a success, we need hundreds of volunteers to help in short and long-term positions throughout this summer.
This year’s Iowa Arts Festival (June 4-6) starts TONIGHT! We really need the support of community volunteers like you to help make this event a success! We are looking for people to help artists, assist in the Global Village children’s activity booths, assist in the merchandise booths and many other positions.
As people concerned with our environment, you may be particularly interested in our “Green Team” who will help with the biodegradable and recycling program. As a special designation, member of the “Green Team” will receive green volunteer shirts instead of our red ones!

We’ve reserved spots on the “Green Team” to a restricted view. So if you’re interested in helping out, please fill out your online volunteer application and either e-mail volunte...@gmail.com or call our office at 319-337-7944 as soon as possible to schedule your time slot!
Other festival events that you can get involved in volunteering with this summer include: The Toyota-Scion of Iowa City Jazz Festival, the Friday Night Concert Series, the Free Movie Series, Sand in the City, and Downtown Saturday Nights.
Whether you can give an hour or more, we truly appreciate your support for arts in the Iowa City community, and we look forward to another great year of Summer of the Arts programming.
