Dear All

A good gathering up of windfalls this afternoon at the Royal Edinburgh. The orchard is old and was part of the hospital garden in the days when some of the food for the patients and staff was produced from the grounds.

I've got 4 bags of what are probably cookers - some not in great condition due to bruising and scab, so they won't keep. Any suggestions for where they should go?

There are almost no apples left on the trees and what there are Martyn and friends intend to pick.

Hi Valla, I have at last got contacts for you ref coming into the 
orchard after 31/10. I have pasted Michala's message below. Let me 
know how you get on!

Lucy, its still Ok with me to meet on 31/10 if you like although I 
don't know how many apples there will be. The wind has brought down 
quite a lot recently and they are being shared around the hospital 
with Artlink and others.
The best time would be afternoon if that is OK, say 2pm at the 
Myreside entrance. You can park your car just inside the gate on the 
left.

Sorry I've been slow on this. So abundance would be best to contact Jo 
and Jennifer from the PSP because Morrisons have handed back the land 
to the NHS until they go back on site in November, hence why Hugo had 
been liasing with Dick Fitzpatrick on the move tomorrow.
