Now the test firmware I received did not include XBMC, nor the necessary codec. So I installed XBMC for HiSilicon (password: amaw) and MXPlayerCodec (works with BFS 4KH only), and I could run XBMC, and downmixed audio worked with AC3, and some other Dolby and DTS codec.

How to update Himedia Android TV Box?

Firmware Upgrade by Recovery Mode (user data will be cleared)

1.Download a new firmware and place the firmware onto the ROOT directory of a USB drive.

2. Plug the USB drive into an empty USB HOST on the SMART TV BOX.

3. With the SMART TV BOX turned off, use a paper clip or pen point to press and hold the small pinhole restore button on the SMART TV BOX

4. While pressing the restore button,turn on the SMART TV BOX. Continue to hold the restore button for 5 more seconds,then release it.

5. The SMART TV BOX will begin upgrading the firmware from the USB drive.

6. Wait for the SMART TV BOX to complete the upgrade. Please be patient as it may take around 5 minutes to complete.

7. When finished, The SMART TV BOX will auto reboot.

Kindly assist me , my Qviart Dual 4K is not booting even after flashing it with Complete dump of my device Hi3798MV200-Qviart DUAL 4K_V1.02 [12012023] . When I format it , it boots to android but I can not update it or install channels. It gives DVB module initializing and can not allow to either install channels or update it with any firmware. However, android applications are working like youtube, google playstore, etc. After reset using Hitool, on E2 it now boots with Openspa image but the remote does not work to configure the image. When you press the reset but it does not re-install factory software like what other boxes do. Is there any way to correct this problem? Or does it mean that is the end of the box it should just be thrown away? Please assist me and thanks in advance

I have problem about installing image on my Uclan Ustym 4k pro, i tried many times installing from usb and network ( instalation goes without problem), but when i try to select image says there is no image.

i download the plugin Xcamclient3. rename 3 files xcam in the root/mnt/plugin as oscam_emu,oscam_emu.descr,oscam_emu.png and replace with the new one from oscam11576-798-stapi-icone.rar file downloaded here on forum.

I have a problem to reinstall my original image on mecool k3 pro from malaysk firmware to my mecool k3 pro image that came with the box. When I try to reinstall it gives me error this package is for KII PRO VSDVB DEVICES, THIS DEVICE IS A KIII PRO. Please I need your help because I can not continue with malaysk firmware since DTV does not work. I have tried to format sd card and put image there but still same error.....This package is for KII PRO VSDVB DEVICES, THIS DEVICE IS A KIII PRO. Could you give me step by step recovery process. STAR BOX 4444 HD-4K dump file or Flash file is a boot information data with software/program of a satellite receiver which is located at EEPROM or Flash IC or Memory IC of the receiver. The main processor/Microcontroller retrieves the information from memory when it is powered on to know how to work/boot. If fail to get the boot information then it may stuck on the power/red light or boot logo screen.

If the Flash IC/Memory IC of the STAR BOX 4444 HD-4K receiver is damaged for any reason or Its software/firmware malfunctions due to any reason then the Main Controller does not get any boot/basic information and the satellite receiver does not turn on. In this situation, we need to reprogram the flash ic with the matched hardware dump/flash file to get the receiver in normal condition. The dump file of STAR BOX 4444 HD-4K is given below for technician/user support.

Given receiver software is a backup dump file and can be loaded by a Programmer or with a Loader tool in the dead receiver or can be upgraded/downgraded in the working receiver by the USB Upgrade method or with the STB Upgrade Tool.
