I can reproduce it under the following conditions:

1. TDL 7.0.5 on Linux via WINE

2. freshly unpacked and started  with 'Introduction' tasklist loaded

Steps to reproduce bug:

1- Start TDL with 'Introduction' tasklist in 'Task Tree' layout:
Please notice small white bar on top of first task. Just in case, that's important for the overall trouble shooting.

2- Reduce hight of TDL window:

3- move scrollbar down to bottom:

4- Switch to 'List View':
Note: The scroll bar has not been moved manually! The end of the list is not shown anymore. (Just in case that matters for trouble shooting).

5- Switch back to 'Task Tree'
Note the offset between both panels. The scroll bar position has changed again.

Hi Ryan

I'm ready to tackle this now.

It looks like there were images originally associated with the specified steps but not any more. If so, can you re-add them for my benefit pls?

I can reproduce it with the 'Introduction' tasklist, two additional task ticked as completed and the 'C) Completed Tasks' filter. It seems to have to do with vertical scrolling active/necessary at some stage of the process.
Here are steps to reproduce the behavior after starting from scratch:
TDL 7.0.2
Linux

First example
1- Start TDL with 'Introduction' tasklist:

Please notice small white bar on top of first task. Just in case, that's important for the overall trouble shooting.

sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_001

2- Select two additional tasks as completed:
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_002

3- Reduce hight of TDL window:
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_008

4- Select Filter C) Completed Tasks:
Note the vertical offset!
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_009

Second example
1- Start TDL with 'Introduction' tasklist:
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_001

2- Select two additional tasks as completed:
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_002

3- Select Filter C) Completed Tasks:
Issue doesn't show up yet!
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_003

4- Reduce hight of TDL window:
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_004

5- Select Filter A) All Tasks:
Note the vertical offset!
sample tasklist - todolist c abstractspoon_005

Hi Dan,

Huh, no idea why/where they disappeared.
Tomorrow I'll create new ones using the current version (7.0.5) and add them.

Ryan

Update: The behaviour has changed now with 7.0.5. There are still issues but I haven't found a way to reproduce them consistently with exactly the same steps. I'll keep on trying/ testing...

Update: Got it. Please see updated first post on top.

Hi Dan,

I've just upgraded to 7.0.6 and read this:
  • Fixed row synchronisation bug between Title/Attribute panes on XP/Linux
Is that supposed to fix the bug discussed in this thread?

Yes, it fixed the bug on the Linux VM you set up for me.

If you can still reproduce it on the VM, can you update the steps and I'll look at it again?

OK, need to run a few tests.
I still have issues on my system with my personal tdl file :(

short update: issues araise when:
* in Tree View AND
* Filters get applied

Will try to reproduce with a fresh install and Sample Tasklist...
