Hi,

I often find myself wanting to switch quickly between a custom selection of check boxes and <any> in the Status Category and Tags filters>
Currently you have to deselect all of the check boxes one by one, which obviously is a lot slower.
I even tried adding "<any>" in the drop down menu defaults but it didn't work.

It would also be great to be able to save combinations of filter settings across all filters and to have a master filter drop down that could recall saved combos.

I hope I am not being too active with suggestions and questions ! :D
Hope the above is helpful
Cheers
Justin

Yes, I see exactly what you mean and agree it would be useful.

We just need to agree the what happens when <any> is picked. My strong preference would be to clear the other checkboxes so that it 'clear' what you're going to get...

My idea was that when you select <any> it behaves as if you had unchecked all the other boxes, but if you then un-check it, it reverts to your selection.
But your suggestion makes me wonder if in addition having a permanent "de-select all" could be useful too.

Another thing which might speed up work flow but which I suspect may be harder to achieve, is if the changes in selections in the drop down menus were instantaneous rather than requiring exiting the drop menu.

I think that's a great idea!

ps. Are you aware that there is a 'View > Toggle Filter' menu option that may also meet your immediate needs?

<any> added to multi-select filter droplists in 7.2.A8
