Dear Dan,

I hope you can help me out. Because of the individual settings (ini.files) we installed TDL on our local PC's and are using TDL tasklist on our server. But the problem now is, that the completed tasks aren't transfered to the done. list anymore. I also tried to do this manually, I know there is a button,  but they aren't going anywhere... You can choose the file in which the back-up wil be stored, but you cannot choose where to archive.

I know that changes at TDL will be implemented after you close TDL and open it again. Before I tried to make changes, I asked everybody (4 members) to close TDL. Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards, Kim

Hi Kim

>> But the problem now is, that the completed tasks aren't transfered to the done.

Off the top of my head it could possibly be that:

1. someone (somehow) has the archive permanently checked out which will stop anyone else from merging in tasks. You can test this by opening the archive (File > Open Archive) and then trying to check it out just like you would the tasklist.

2. if everyone sharing the tasklist has 'Archive on Load' enabled then you will all be trying to merge at the same time which could be upsetting things.

Let me try to to reproduce the issue myself but in the meantime I would suggest that only one team-member has the 'Archive on Load' enabled.

He Dan,

Thanks for your anwser, that would be great. Of course I can send my preferences, see attached.

Sorry to ask but what do you mean by 'Archive on Load' where can I find that? (I attached the print screen as well, although you must see that in my preferences file as well of course.)

Thank you very much in advance!

Best regards, Kim

Thx for preferences Kim

I actually think the sharing issues are probably not the issue so I will continue my investigations...

Tools > Preferences > File Actions > Loading > Archive completed tasks

Hi Kim

Have you tried turning off the highlighted preference?

It won't prevent archiving but will prevent the archived items being removed from the tasklist...
