Question: Sum of time estimates & Filtering

Hi Dan,

regarding the sum of the time estimates for sub-tasks.  At present the calculated sum of time estimates does not take into account any filtering.  Is this likely to be added in this 7.1 release?

Unfortunately not.

This is a conceptually big change and the first step (in 7.1.DR7) was to disable the caching of calculations to see how much of an impact this will have on performance.

Not caching calculations would also allow some attributes to show filtered calculations and some to show 'global' calculations according to a user's preferences, and for that to be dynamically changeable.

If you have time and the requirements apply I would welcome some feedback on the caching issue.
