Sorry for lack of insight here... I start TDL from a shortcut and sometimes it simply closes itself without warning. I have no idea what it was doing. Restarting always works.

I've added -g for debug logging.

This may be related to loading a language file or attempting a clean up. For example, change YourLanguage or the current language file, load TDL, it dies once and then restarts OK. That's not confirmed but an example of the kind of activity that seems common to the aborts. I don't think the issue has recurred since I stopped testing with translations.

Will post more if/when better info is available.

>> it dies once

What does this mean?

I double click my desktop shortcut to open TDL v7.0.12.1. It opens and I see the UI, then it closes. But there's no tray icon or minimized app in the task bar. It simply terminates ("dies"). I do exactly the same thing and it starts up OK.

[OLD] This could be related to the issue with Clean Up and translation files not getting updated. Perhaps an unhandled exception is thrown on the write and the app terminates, but unless I invoke Clean Up again it doesn't go through that. Just guessing based on what I remember of my actions. I haven't been able to spend more time on this.[/OLD]

[EDIT] I spent some time with the startup log turned on and have not been able to reproduce this yet. Sorrry. Hypothesis seems incorrect.
