Hello
PROBLEM
As a new user, one of the most frustrating things about TDL is that you can't just click on a field column and enter data for it right there.
e.g. I suppose find the Task I want, and I now want to change one of the fields - say the Status or the Tags.
Instead of just clicking on it and starting to type, in TDL I have to
A) click on it and then
B) go and find that field on the input panel at the bottom of the page (or left of the page).
But this is a whole extra click, and worse the second click is a particularly difficult one to find because the mouse has to be moved so far from the thing you are trying to edit!
The exception to this is that the user can double-clicking on the Title which does allow the user to edit the title without moving the mouse.
MY SUGGESTION
I suggest that when the user double-clicks (or possibly say Alt-Clicks?) on any column other than the Title, that TDL immediately gives input focus the that field so that the user can immediately start entering data for that field using they keyboard and/or mouse.
For "List" type fields, I suggest that this should be just as if the user had clicked the down chevron for that field, and the list of possible data values was now visible.
What would be seriously nice would be to have a popup right there in the middle of the screen under the user's mouse pointer, without you the user moving your mouse (this is what MLO does when you right-click a task).
However failing that, it would be extremely helpful to just take the user's focus to the relevant field that had been clicked where it was located on the input panel (at the bottom/left/right etc of the page)
This would be both faster and more intuitive, no?
