Hi

What about changing the translation of "Due Date" with "Date de fin prévisionnelle" (or "Date fin prév.") instead of "Date de fin"?

The idea is to make the difference between actual date and planned date more accurate. Your feedback about this is welcome.

Please find attached a kind of translation about this point.

Regards,

Why don't you create a pull-request on the GitHub repo?

Hi,

I have TDL databases where the "Due date" is really the date it has to be finished, i.e. it is not an expectation as suggested if you add "prévisonnelle".

So, to keep the TDL tool open for multi-usages, I recommand to keep the current French translation unchanged: it is a simple neutral translation of "Due Date".
In my opinion: if you start introducing additional "flavours" in non-English title translations, it will break the consistency / understanding / interpretation of the application (fields / titles) across languages.

As solution to fine tune your database, you might add an additional field (i.e. coloumn) of type 'date' and labelled 'Date de fin prévisionnelle'.
This way, you would be able to catch, sort and filter this information (and this, in addition of the real 'due date' when / if applicable).

Regards - Eric

Hi Eric

Thx a lot for your clever answer.
Actually, it's a good idea to keep neutral the translation of this object.

I will try later to have a look at the source code to add a "Date prév." in th U.I as well as in the database, to reflect the difference between actual and estimated dates. But it may need a lot of work.. ;-)

Emmanuel

Not at all!

Just:

1. Close TDL
2. Take a copy of 'Resources/Translations/Francais (France).csv'
3. Open the copy in Notepad.exe
4. 'Edit > Replace'
5. Replace 'Date de fin' with 'Date prév'
6. Save and close Notepad
7. Restart TDL and select your modified copy of the French translation
