It would be really useful to avoid unnecessary network traffic to check and reload a task list when the application receives the focus, as it's the moment i need the list to be updated with peer changes.
Other text editors do this and i find it really useful. The file polling time interval is still useful, with a larger time interval like, say, 1 minute, to be notified of changes when not watching the ToDoList window.

I can easily change the checking to not reload changes unless the application is in the foreground but you also won't get notified of the changes until the tasklist is reloaded.

Uhmm i think i did not explain myself so well :P what i want to obtain is:
1. I want the list to be reloaded if needed when i Alt+Tab to the ToDoList window, because i want to see the last status immediately, without having to reload it manually
2. I still want to be updated with a larger time interval when not watching.
The network traffic avoid thing is a plus, but not the main concern.

Cool thx.

In that case what I'll do for now is just to add an immediate check whenever the app is activated or when switching to another tasklist.
