Suggestion: Search facility for Preferences

You go into the comprehensive preferences knowing what you're after but you have to click on the most likely looking section to find what you want and search by eye - a search facility would make this much easier and reduce the number of users (like me for example!) that raise a query on the Google Group for something that is already there in the preferences.
