Question: Does anyone use 'Power BI' (or other Data Visualisation Toolkit) at their workplace?

I'm thinking of writing a data visualisation 'Task View' plugin for Power BI and, whilst I can probably figure it out as I go along, it would be nice to involve someone with existing skills.

Please don't offer unless you already have those skills :)

Hi Dan, where I work it was developped a power BI dashboard to consolidate some information from todolist.
It reads xml (tdl) directly and plot some charts.

Excellent news!

Can you describe in as much detail as possible the process which starts with a local/networked file and ends with a report (I guess)?

ps. I only got my Power BI account yesterday so I am a total newbie!!

ps. Would a plugin for this actually be useful for your workplace, either as a simple 'Exporter' or as a 'Task View'?

pps. FWIW my initial idea for the 'Task View' is simply to host PBI in an embedded browser and facilitate the 'pushing' of the tasklist either as raw XML or perhaps as CSV.

This means that I am liable for no costs since users are required to have their own logins.

Ideally there would also be a default set of charts that is somehow transferred from my account to the user's account but really I have no idea what's possible at this stage...
