to ABSTRACT ART SCOTLAND
Dear Lorraine---How wonderful a computor is. Here am I joining an art
club in Scotland!!!!!! I have looked at your gallery of paintings and
am very impressed with your work. I have always admired abstract art
and have taken several art courses in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where
I have spent most of my life. I now live in southern Arizona and love
it here.
Excuse me--my name is Shirley--my mothers maiden name was McKay so I
am part Scotch.
I work in acrylic, collage, and found much pleasure with the single
lens camera. The abstract part comes in with closeups of colored
glass--some of them are wild.
I really think that the way you are presenting your work is great, as
I find framing aggravatingly expensive . I've been framing my own
work but it is time consuming and takes up too much space to store
the frames and supplies. Acrylic is so forgiving in many ways that I
hope to try incorporating part of my photographic images into
acrylic paintings.
