Baptist 'exit strategy' means get kids out of public schools
Groundswell of support building in 16 million member group for homeschooling

If you like sexually transmitted diseases, shootings and high teen pregnancy rates, by all means, send your children to public schools. That's the word from a leader in the fast-growing movement within the 16 million-member Southern Baptist Convention for parents to pull their children from those schools in favor of homeschooling.

The program is called Exit Strategy and Pastor Wiley Drake, whose home state of California has done some things especially offensive to Christians this year, is a leading promoter.
In an interview with WND, he said that those problems and others are prevalent in public schools, and some Christian leaders even have said it could be considered child abuse just to register children in such a facility.
That's why resolutions encouraging members of the nation's largest Protestant church organization to exit public schools have been submitted in every SBC state and regional convention in the U.S., he said.
"Basically, (the education system) has been saying, 'You have to let us teach your kids anything we want,'" said Wiley, citing some of the pro-homosexual material being required in public education.
"Well, we don't like it and we're not going to put up with it," he said.

The "Exit Strategy Resolution" is based on Albert Mohler's recommendation in 2005 that, in light of the "spiritual, moral, and academic decay in the government schools, Southern Baptists develop an exit strategy from the public schools." It also coordinates with work done by ExodusMandate.org, which works to have parents move children to Christian teaching.
Mohler is president of the SBC's flagship seminary, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville and one of the SBC's leading theologians.
"Dr. Mohler is right, Southern Baptists, and Christians generally, need to plan a Christian educational future for our children," Wiley said. "First, Christian parents are obligated to provide their children with a Christ-centered education. Anyone who thinks that a few hours of youth group and church will have more influence on a child's faith and worldview than 40 to 50 hours a week of public school classes, activities, and homework is simply not being honest with himself.
"Second, the open collaboration between homosexual activists and many school districts, together with the overall level of crime and violence in the public schools, make the public schools an unsafe place for our children," he said.
"Although changing the hearts and minds of people is often a slow process, attitudes about how we educate our children are changing within Southern Baptist life," said Roger Moran, a member of the SBC's executive committee. "Increasingly we are recognizing that if we are going to profess the name of Christ, then our lives should be a testimony to authentic Biblical Christianity. Yet, how can we expect our children to have that testimony when they are 'trained up' in secular public schools to have a secular mindset that excludes the acknowledgement of God and the Word of God at every point?"
"The experiment with government schooling has failed," said Bruce Shortt, a co-sponsor of the "Exit Strategy" resolution. "What Baptists need to do now is create a new public education system, a system that is public in the sense that it is open to everyone and that takes into account the needs of orphans, single parents, and the disadvantaged. With our existing buildings, our talented people, and the educational technology available today, it is now possible to create rapidly an affordable, effective Christian education alternative to the government schools."
There are numerous estimates that homeschooling in the United States, already one of the fast-growing segments of education, involves 2.5 million students. The nation's largest home educator's organization, the Home School Legal Defense Fund, has more than 80,000 member families alone. It's estimated that the curriculum, materials and supplies for those students already surpass $1 billion a year.
But if, in fact, a large-scale movement within the SBC would develop, its 16 million members could double or triple or more the size of the homeschool community literally at will.
Those families belong to 42,000 churches in 1,200 local associations and 41 state conventions and fellowships.
Drake said the call for abandonment of government-run secular institutions didn't develop overnight.
"We've been hoping against hope that somewhere along the line we could wake them up and get their attention," he said. "We did our best, we hung in there with them as long as we could. We just can't put up with them any longer."
"All of this is based on the fact that schools have been teaching a New World Order rather than an Old World order, a Biblically-based world order, as it applies to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."
"We finally had to do something," he said.
College-level education also needs to be addressed, because 50 years ago when chewing gum and spitwads were the problems in school, Princeton, Yale and Harvard essentially were seminaries where students would learn the Bible, and then move into politics, medicine and the law.
The decision follows by a year a resolution in the SBC Annual Meeting urging churches and parents "to investigate their public schools to determine, among other things, whether they are endangering children in their care by collaboration with homosexual advocates."
Rick Scarborough, founder of Vision America and author of "Liberalism Kills Kids," said schools have long since stopped providing positive reinforcement of traditional values.
"In fact, they are not even neutral on many crucial issues which are important to people of faith. Unfortunately, public education has been hijacked by people who reject Biblical teachings on man's origin, the proper role of sex and the acceptability of homosexuality. These are non-compromising issues for Christians."
The resolution notes that federal judges have allowed that "parents have no constitutional right … to prevent a public school from providing its students with whatever information it wishes to provide, sexual or otherwise …" and specifically permitted government schools to teach Darwinism and the acceptability of homosexuality.
Since the convention already owns buildings that could be used, has on staff many teachers who could contribute, and can take advantage of satellite and Internet technologies, there should be no major obstacles, officials said.
Drake, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church in Buena Park, Calif., is in a state where the problem probably is more easily defined, because of issues addressed by the most recent state Legislature.
That group approved several different plans that would have required local public schools to teach sensitivity to the "discrimination" against alternative sexual lifestyles and integrate "tolerance training" into history and social science curriculums. A required program would have forced students not only to learn a "new definition" of tolerance, but would have required them to accept and advocate for homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism.
Another plan would have prevented any school teaching materials or activities from "reflecting adversely" upon homosexuals, bisexuals or transgenders.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger
Former Assemblyman Larry Bowler, R-Elk Grove, said in his six years as a member of the Assembly Education Committee, "Never, never, in all the thousands of bills that I voted on in that committee, did I ever see anything even close to the destructive decadence of these three bills."
These three were vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, but family advocates believe there will be similar proposals in the future. The governor did sign into a law a plan to force Christian colleges – if a single student is attending on a state grant – to promote transexuality, bisexuality and homosexuality.

Pledge to Mexican flag captured on video
Texas officials admit they handled 'diversity' program the wrong way

A radio station in Houston has posted on its website two video clips of a Texas elementary school "diversity" assembly where a volunteer leads students in saying a pledge of allegiance to the Mexican flag.
Station KTRH has posted both a video clip showing elementary students cheering and waving Mexican flags, and a separate clip showing people the school described as volunteers leading students in the pledge in Spanish.
The story by Scott Braddock of KTRH notes that "whether students also recited the Mexican pledge remains a point of contention," however the audio clearly indicates that students are reciting the pledge along with the volunteer leader, because their voices can be heard finishing the final phrase well after the volunteer has finished.

As WND reported at the time, the event outraged parents and the principal at Velasco Elementary School said it was a "diversity" effort, but he would not do it again.
KTRH, which broke the story when the assembly was held a month ago, said it obtained the video from the school district under Texas open records laws.
On that station a month ago, callers were outraged.
"We absolutely refuse to stand up and pledge allegiance to another country's flag," a mother whose daughter attends the school told talk show host Chris Baker on AM 740 radio. "Where is the sensitivity to the country and to the troops and the men and women that have fought and died for this country?"
Several parents also told KTRH News students were joining in the pledge, but district officials said they did not.
District officials said the assembly was meant to teach children about Mexican Independence Day, which is celebrated on Sept. 16 to mark the day Mexico gained independence from Spain.
Longtime Velasco Principal Sam Williams said in hindsight he should have done things differently and apologized to those who were offended.
"As stated previously, and again verified with the campus administration this morning (Tuesday), the students did not say the Mexican pledge," school spokesman Stuart Dornburg told KTRH.
Those who watch the video will be able to judge for themselves.
A parent of a third-grader who wished to remain anonymous told the station that he was at the assembly and students were saying the pledge.
"I was telling them you don't have to stand for the pledge of allegiance to the Mexican flag," he told the station.
"That's treason … you're not supposed to say the pledge of allegiance to any flag other than the American and Texas flags," the father said. "It broke my heart to see the kids doing that."
The earlier exchange between Baker, the talk show host, and a mother who identified herself as Amy reported school officials handed out Mexican flags and then the "volunteer" led the pledge.
Dornburg noted that Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month and the assembly at the Clute school was planned by the Brazosport Independent School District as part of its cultural education and to show that the district values and respects diversity.
But Amy said she got "glares" when she didn't participate and when she "proudly" put the Mexican flag on the ground.
She said her husband was in Vietnam for three tours of duty, and she has a son in the war now.
In a report in The Facts, Williams said the response to his action was "overwhelming."
"It's been a real trying ordeal and all I can say is I deeply apologize if anyone was offended by it – and I can see that they are," the principal said
Officials say there are 635 students from preschool age to fourth grade in Velasco, and about two-thirds are Hispanic.
Baker said the recitation was especially offensive since the U.S. is in the middle of a serious dispute over illegal immigration and the huge ramifications the nation faces from not having a secured border with Mexico.
"To blow it off as quote-unquote 'historical teaching methods' either shows complete arrogance or a lack of the ability to grasp the seriousness of the illegal immigration issue to Americans," told his listeners.
On a weblog, a fan identified as El Jefe Maximo said, "What's needed is a dose of nationalism, with a pinch of religion, and I'd throw in a dash of evil old imperialism as well."

Does it matter who was the 300-millionth "American"?
Indeed, it does.
If it was a baby born to an American, that is wonderful news. If it
was a baby born to an illegal alien, it means we have lost control of
our borders. And as Ronald Reagan said, a country that can´t control
its borders isn´t really a country anymore.
And if it was a Mexican who slipped over the Rio Grande in the early
morning darkness of Oct. 17, it may be a harbinger of the end of
America as we knew her.
If the people are not celebrating the 300 million along with the
editorial writers, it is because there is a strong likelihood the
individual added to our number is not an American at all, and because
the extraordinary growth of the American family was not the free
choice of the American people.
We have 300 million here today only because the government of the
United States refuses to enforce our immigration laws and the people
were misled or lied to when the Immigration Act of 1965 was passed.
Who was the chairman of the subcommittee that conducted the hearings?
Edward M. Kennedy. And what did Sen. Kennedy promise? Here are his
own words of four decades ago:
"(O)ur cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually.
Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains
substantially the same. ... The ethnic mix of this country will not be
upset. ... Contrary to the charges in some quarters, S. 500 will not
inundate America with immigrants from any other country or area, or
the most populated and economically deprived nations of Africa and
Asia."
Only haters would make such assertions, Kennedy thundered. "The
charges I have mentioned are highly emotional, irrational and with
little foundation in fact. They are out of line with the obligations
of responsible citizenship. They breed hate of our heritage."
How good were the senator´s assurances?
Today, we have 36 million immigrants and their children here, some 90
percent from Third World nations whose peoples have never before been
assimilated into a First World nation. A third, 12 million, are here
in violation of our laws.
Most of those coming now are poor and uneducated, and are unable to
speak our language. Some do not wish to become Americans. But they
are sending our crime, poverty and disease rates skyward and pulling
U.S. academic scores down toward Third World levels.
But what is most significant about these deep and irreversible
alterations in the character of the nation is that the American
people never voted for it and do not want it. It is being imposed
from above, anti-democratically, by a regime that refuses to enforce
our laws and is now at virtual war with the American people.
Though immigration is the hottest domestic issue in 2006, and every
candidate in a close race is taking a hard line on border security -
even Hillary Clinton voted for 700 miles of security fence - the will
of the people is ignored. According to a poll released Monday by the
Center for Immigration Studies, 68 percent of Americans say
immigration is too high. Only 2 percent believe it is too low. Yet
the McCain-Kennedy-Bush bill would have granted amnesty to millions
of illegal aliens and doubled the number of legal immigrants.
The failure to restrict immigration so the Melting Pot can work, the
refusal to seal the border despite what America wants, suggests ours
has ceased to be a democratic republic. "Here, sir, the people rule!"
used to be a proud boast. Today, the line is laughable.
In my book "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest
of America," I projected that by 2050, every city in America would
look like Los Angeles, and Los Angeles and the cities of the
Southwest would look like Mexico City.
And what is happening to Los Angeles? According to Robert Putnam,
Harvard political scientist and author of "Bowling Alone," the trust
among people in "this most diverse human habitation in human history"
is now at rock bottom, the lowest anywhere he could find.
"In the presence of diversity," said Putnam, "we hunker down. We act
like turtles. The effect of diversity is worse than had been
imagined. And it´s not just that we don´t trust people who are not
like us. In diverse communities we don´t trust people who look like
us."
The more people of different races that live in a community, the
greater the loss of trust, said Putnam. "They don´t trust the local
mayor, they don´t trust the local paper, they don´t trust other
people, and they don´t trust institutions. ... The only thing there is
more of is protest marches and TV watching."
Welcome to the Brave New World our elites are creating for our
children, as they consign the America we grew up in to the compost
heap of history.

Dog Dies in Failed Cat Rescue in Wisconsin
He saved disabled owner, and rushed back for the cat

After a disabled woman's cat started a house fire, her specially trained dog came to the rescue, then died trying to help the cat still in the house.
Jamie Hanson said the 13-year-old dog named Jesse brought the phone so she could call 911 and also brought her artificial leg.
"She got me outside and then she heard the cat upstairs and she went up there to get the cat and she wouldn't come back," Hanson, 49, said Monday at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center where she was treated for her injuries.
She received third-degree burns to an arm in the fire Sunday night at her home in the town of Rhine south of Elkhart Lake, the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department said, adding that both pets died in the fire.
Hanson, who lost a leg in a car crash three years ago, said she was on the couch watching TV when the cat "jumped onto a table that had a candle on it and tipped it over and lighted the artificial plants on fire."

officer asked, sarcastically. The elderly gentleman admitted he had

passport ready." The American said, "The last time I was here, I didn't
have to show it." "Impossible. Americans always have to show their
passports on arrival in France!" The American senior gave the Frenchman
a long hard look. Then he quietly explained. "Well, when I came ashore
at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I
couldn't find any Frenchmen to show it to."

Ivan Seidenburg of Verizon and Brian Roberts of Comcast are working closely with the Anti-Defamation League and other heads of the liberal Jewish media to end "cyber-hate." To them, cyber-hate means criticism of homosexuality and leftist Jewish organizations like ADL and B'nai B'rith International.

THREATS TO A FREE INTERNET

The internet is an unprecedented means to leap over established media walls and to speak or receive the whole truth. No longer must Americans depend upon the popular press or the "Big Three" TV evening news programs. Much freer, unbiased news is now available on the web. This alternative is deeply troubling to those who want to control what we hear and think.
In this article, I will briefly discuss two enormous challenges to freedom on the internet. First, the threat of "anti-hate" laws. In many countries, such as Canada, hate laws criminalize "cyber hate," which includes internet criticism of taboo subjects, particularly homosexuality and matters Jewish. Second, the threat from phone and cable giants. They want to commercialize the internet, giving preferential service to those they favor, while discriminating against those they don't.
Hate Laws: Huge Threat to Internet Freedom
Anti-hate laws are the most direct, effective way to destroy a free internet. Sec. 13.1 of Canada's federal hate law, the Canadian Human Rights Act, forbids any statement on the internet which holds up members of federally protected groups to "hatred" or contempt. As a result, since its inception 28 years ago, many who have criticized homosexuality or Jews or have questioned the accuracy of the alleged six million figure of the Jewish Holocaust victims, have been prosecuted, fined thousands of dollars, and threatened with prison if they continue such internet "cyber hate." Paul Frohm, authority on Canada's internet hate laws, summarizes: "In 28 years, no victim has ever been acquitted of a 13.1 charge-'hate' on the internet or on telephone answering machines. No one! Also, all of the victims have been on the right of the political spectrum. It's Soviet style political censorship." (www.cafe.canadafirst.net)
Internet Hate Laws: Creation of ADL/B'nai B'rith
Canada's speech crime laws are the product of B'nai B'rith International and its civil liberties branch, the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith (www.adl.org).
B'nai B'rith is a global Jewish religious, educational, fraternal, and charitable organization with a half million Jewish members occupying 2100 lodges and chapters in more than 50 nations.
B'nai B'rith describes itself as the voice of organized Jewry. B'nai B'rith/ADL is also the voice of anti-Christian Jewish activism. ADL occupies the frontline of legal efforts to block Christian nativity scenes, public display of the Ten Commandments, prayer in schools or prayer in the name of Jesus, Biblical creationism, Christian witnessing to Jews, etc. (See, "Defeated in Congress, ADL Attacks Religious Right")
At the same time, ADL is totally supportive of homosexuality, encouraging acceptance of the "gay lifestyle" even in kindergarten and grade school curricula. ADL supports abortion, pornography, and whatever is against Christian family values. It bestows "tolerance" awards on businesses, especially in media and communications, which discriminate against Christian "homophobia" and encourage respect for the "diversity" of homosexuality.
Not All Jews Support ADL/B'nai B'rith
Many Jews vehemently disapprove of ADL Christian bashing. The most outspoken and well-known is Orthodox rabbi Daniel Lapin, head of the Seattle-based "Toward Tradition." Last summer during his program on the Trinity Broadcasting TV Network, Lapin warned millions of evangelical viewers that ADL/B'nai B'rith was in "relentless attack on evangelical Christians." ADL decries conservative political activism, saying that such violates separation of church and state. Yet ADL is not timid about uniting synagogue and state. ADL is deeply involved in the U.S. government's hate crimes law enforcement program. Under the ADL-inspired Hate Crime's Statistics Act of 1990, ADL obtained the right to teach all FBI, Justice Department, and local police its skewed definition of what "hate" is.
ADL's working definition of "hate" is simple: It means to be biased against a federally protected group, especially Jews and homosexuals. As a result, Christians who adhere to the "hateful" Biblical view that homosexuality is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22) or that Jewish leaders contrived to have Christ crucified 2000 years ago automatically become "haters," potential hate criminals.
ADL's Record of Persecuting Christians
ADL enforces its bias against Christians by convicting and fining Christians, especially in Canada, for public criticism of homosexuality. (See, "Crackdown on Holocaust Reductionists: Omen of Coming Persecution of Christians") Yet in the U.S., ADL is straining to initiate similar persecution. On October 10, 2004 Philadelphia D.A. Lynne Abraham, member of ADL's national executive board, gave orders to arrest 11 Christians who were peacefully singing a hymn and holding up Bible verses critical of homosexuality during a gay pride rally. She charged them with seven violations of the law, including ADL's Pennsylvania hate law. Total jail time threatened was 47 years, plus $90,000 dollars in fines each. Fortunately, as a result of massive criticism, ADL was thwarted in its attempt to jumpstart persecution of Christians in America; a higher court freed the Christians, finding no legal basis for their arrest. ADL Wants 'Big Brother' Hate Bureaucracy for America
ADL wants America to come under the control of a federal anti-hate law like the one it persuaded Parliament to establish in Canada in 1971. Today, as a result of ADL's Canadian Human Rights Act, criticism of homosexuality or Judaism, whether from the pulpit, talk radio, or publishing, is now punishable by huge fines and years of imprisonment. In America, ADL is lobbying Congress for passage of its Orwellian federal anti-hate bill, "The Local Law Enforcement Enhancement Act" (LLEEA). LLEEA purports to only give the federal government power to put down violent hate crimes in the states. Actually, it destroys states rights and law enforcement, setting up a bias-motivation justice system like Canada's. (See, "New Hate Bill: Obituary for Talk Radio")
Under Canada's hate crimes tribunal system, evidence of bias against members of federally protected groups, plus plaintiffs' claims of being "traumatized" by such criticism, defines whether a hate crime has occurred. Truth is not accepted in this skewed justice system. Because such criteria are highly subjective, hate crimes cases are notoriously drawn out through trial and appeal, financially and emotionally exhausting Christians and free speech advocates. Steps to End "Cyber Hate" on the Internet
For the past five years, ADL/B'nai B'rith has been establishing a 55-nation European hate crimes bureaucracy, called the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). OSCE contains a special department dedicated to ending internet free speech. The International Network against Cyber Hate (INACH) is a think-tank of political, legal, communications and internet experts dedicated to finding ways to ban Internet criticism of Israel or matters Jewish. Yet INACH faces a difficult problem. Many nations have not yet adopted ADL hate laws. Also, the internet remains vigorously free, bursting with creative, unrestrained powers. For the present, OSCE agenda must content itself to:
- Work to establish hate laws worldwide. ADL's ultimate intention is to create a global network, bringing everyone under international hate laws jurisdiction. To facilitate this, ADL persuaded Congress two years ago to establish an "Office of Global Anti-Semitism" in the U.S. State Department. Fourteen twisted criteria of anti-Semitism coming from a recent state department ADL report make Bible-believing Christians and critics of Israel into anti-Semites. ADL's next goal: Make such "anti-Semitic hate criminals" into "domestic terrorists," culpable under Homeland Security. (See, "The Real Motive Behind the 'Department of Global Anti-Semitism'")
- Punish satellite providers and nations which allow "cyber hate" into their countries.
- Create 'hate-free' internet zones, beginning in large sections of Europe.
- Punish and boycott broadcasters worldwide who allow 'cyber hate' in programming.
- Solicit, through toll free numbers, information about websites critical of homosexuality or matters Jewish.

Mega Phone and Cable Companies Threaten Free Internet
The second major threat to a free internet comes from the huge phone and cable monopolies, such as Verizon, Comcast, AT&T, and Bell South, whose phone and cable lines make the internet possible. Such phone giants are now committed to massive financial investment in order to combine all phone, internet, e-mail, and video transmission into unified 'broadband' communication 'pipes'. These communication companies protest that Google, Yahoo, etc., as well as billions of internet users should no longer be allowed a relatively 'free ride.' Verizon and Comcast are spending millions lobbying Congress to deregulate the internet, allowing the phone and cable monopolies to commercialize and run it as a business. They desire ever-widening power to control not only the internet but all telecommunications.
If such consolidation happens, who will control the internet? Do we have clues concerning how such monopolies will respond to unpopular or politically incorrect ideas? Let's consider two big giants of the telephone and cable industries: Verizon and Comcast.
A Closer Look at Those Who Want to Control the Internet
Verizon is the largest American wireless phone company. Its CEO is Ivan Seidenburg, Jewish. Seidenburg's internet bio claims he "champions diversity both within and outside" Verizon. What kind of 'diversity' is Seidenburg advocating? He serves on the board of directors of Viacom, the world's largest communication empire, which also promotes a new cable network called "Gay TV."
In 2003, Seidenburg was feted at a fundraiser dinner for the UJA-Federation, helping raise 1.2 million dollars for this Jewish charity. He was given the Stephen J. Ross Award in honor of the deceased Jewish owner of Warner Bros. Communications. Warner Music, a division of Ross's company, is now corrupting the minds and morals of tens of millions of young people worldwide with 'gangsta' rap music. Gangsta rap utterly degrades women, encouraging teenage boys to rape the "bitches." Filled with unspeakable profanity, it also encourages violence against whites and even murder of police.
Among the 'good old boys' of the Jewish mega media attending this benefit was Edgar Bronfman, Jr., heir of the Seagram's Liquor Empire. Bronfman owns Vivendi Universal which, merged with NBC, produced "The Book of Daniel" TV series mocking Jesus and the Christian family. (See, "Was the Talmud Behind NBC's 'Book of Daniel'?") Bronfman also owns Interscope Records, the largest producer of 'gangsta' rap in the world today.
Howard Stringer, Jewish CEO of Sony of America, was also in attendance with Seidenburg. Sony helped NBC create "The Book of Daniel," but even more damaging to Christianity, created The Da Vinci Code movie, portraying Christ as having had sexual relations with Mary Magdalene. (See, "The Jews Behind Da Vinci Code") Conspicuous at the UJA dinner was also Sumner Redstone (Murray Rothstein), Jewish head of the largest communications giant in the world, Viacom. Viacom, owner of CBS, produced the "The Mystery of Christmas" special last December, speculating that Jesus was a bastard. Viacom, a cable TV giant, also owns MTV, pumping rock and rap music into 210,000,000 homes. MTV's blatant degeneracy is the dominant influence on youth between 12 and 24 in the world today, encouraging teenage rebellion, gratuitous sex, degradation of women, Satanism, the occult, etc.
Comcast: Jewish Communications Giant
Another Jewish communication monopoly lobbying for internet control is Comcast, the largest cable TV network in America. Twice the size of AOL/Time Warner, Comcast was founded by Jewish Ralph Roberts with his son Brian, now CEO. The "respect for diversity" of both Robertses has deeply pleased liberal Jewry. Ralph Roberts was honored by the ADL with its Americanism Award. The Simon Wiesenthal Center, also a powerful advocate of homosexuality, awarded him their Lifetime Achievement Award. Son Brian received the Humanitarian Award from the Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance, for his "great integrity" for being "intolerant of intolerance." Jeffrey Katzenburg of DreamWorks, presiding at the Wiesenthal Awards ceremony presented a silver menorah to Brian Roberts, saying, "I don't know anyone who is more connected to his [Jewish] heritage."
Do the owners of Verizon and Comcast sound like trustworthy custodians of the internet? Both ADL and the Wiesenthal Center are bastions of Jewish anti-Christian activism. For Ralph and Brian Roberts to receive accolades from them means Comcast has satisfied liberal Judaism's criteria of "tolerance" - meaning tolerance of homosexuality and intolerance of Christian "homophobia."
Clearly, the Jewish leaders of Verizon and Comcast circulate within the highest levels of evil Jewish media leadership. While the same cannot be proven about the leaders of AT&T or Bell South, it is virtually certain that Verizon and Comcast, if granted control of the internet, will assist ADL in its desire to end "cyber hate" worldwide.
Time for Action
If a free internet is to be preserved, it is vital that all who love free speech protest NOW to the U.S. Senate. The House of Representatives, buckling under phone and cable pressure, recently passed legislation (HR 5252) appeasing the big phone and cable companies. The Senate will also succumb unless all lovers of free speech bombard all members of the Senate with protests.

After giving this message to the first senator on the list, don't hang up. Ask to be transferred to the next senator and so on. In about two hours you will have delivered a powerful message to the entire U.S. Senate that you will not stand for an end of free speech on the information superhighway.

U.S. Missionary's Wife Pays $5,000 for Husband's Release in Haiti

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The wife of a U.S. missionary kidnapped in Haiti paid $5,000 for her husband's release, his mother said.
The Rev. Pritchard Adams III, a 24-year resident of the Caribbean nation, was abducted at gunpoint Sunday as he left church in the northern city of Cap-Haitien. The kidnappers asked for $80,000 but lowered the ransom to $5,000 by Tuesday.
His mother, Lucy Adams of Fayetteville, said Adams' wife Dana met the kidnappers outside a small town called Limbe and paid the ransom as some armed kidnappers hid in the brush.
They returned the family's Jeep, which had been stolen during the kidnapping, then fled on foot and by motorcycle. Later, as promised, Pritchard Adams walked into town.
Lucy Adams said she spoke with her son Wednesday by satellite phone.
He told her three of the four kidnappers were fugitives, accused of killing a dozen men including two police officers, and needed money to flee the country. They threatened to kill him.
"He told them, 'If you do away with me, I'm going to a better place. Where are you going?"' Lucy Adams said. "They tried to intimidate him and they couldn't do it. He was cool as a cucumber."
Dana Adams and a Haitian groundskeeper also had been abducted but were released after they began singing and praying in the back of their vehicle. Dana Adams then worked feverishly to raise the ransom money at their missionary compound in Cap-Haitien, Lucy Adams said.
The family is now trying to repay the loan.
Foreign missionaries have recently become prime targets for kidnappings, which flourished in the aftermath of a February 2004 revolt that toppled former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
Kidnappings are common in Haiti's violent capital of Port-au-Prince, but such crimes have been rarer in the outlying provinces.
Pritchard Adams, 50, went to Haiti when he was 26 and worked as a principal of a Christian school, his mother said. He later became a missionary, operating a church out of a World War II medical tent with holes in it. He now has more than 1,000 church members, an elementary school and adult literacy program

Europe Moves To Kill The Internet
New EU rules would prevent uploading video without a license

The latest move to kill off online freedom and the spread of information comes in the
form of proposed EU legislation that would prevent users from uploading any form of
video, whether that be a hard hitting political documentary film or your friends goofing
around with diet coke and Mentos.
A proposed EU directive could extend broadcasting regulations to the internet, hitting
popular video-sharing websites such as YouTube., reports the London

websites and mobile phone services that feature video images would have to conform to
standards laid down in Brussels.
Personal websites would have to be licensed as a "television-like service". Once again

In reality this directive would do nothing to protect children or prevent hate speech -
unless you judge protecting children to be denying them access to anything that is not
government regulated or you assume hate speech to be the criticism of government actions
and policy.
Whilst it may not seem a great loss to some people that there would be no more home
videos of "Girls snogging for fun" or "Bad Bus Driver", under such rules it would also
be illegal throughout the entirety of Europe to upload and spread informative

The only reason sports are a viable economic concern is the nature-given instinct called the territorial imperative.
