Community advocates calling on City of Edmonton to keep LRT stations open overnight for vulnerable residents during extreme cold snap

Ken Chapman from Reboot Alberta mentioned an article today in the Edmonton Journal about the homeless and the LRT stations. He said:

"I don't know how to fix this problem in our Alberta society.

"But I have hope there are ways. That's because I see some well lead and organzed community groups being effective at Pressing for Changes.

"This example in Edmonton shows the Mayor gets it, as does the Prime Minister.

Now we need a Premier who gets it too.

"This Premier won't change so we have to change who is the Premier.

"That means getting ready for the May 2023 Provincial Election, starting NOW!

"Are social services and social justice prime concerns for you next election?

Have you figured out WHAT you will be looking for when you vote? Ask that question first, WHO then follows from that answer.

"If the WHO isn't obvious yet, keep looking for someone you can support. Or, consider being that someone and run yourself."
