ACPJ Celebrates Friendsgiving Provided by the Peace Cafe’

Music filled the Peace Hall: guitars, drum, and a bright red accordion. Voices sang to folk songs. The jam was the wonderful culmination of the Friendsgiving feast provided by the Peace Cafe’, hosted at the Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice. Community guests demolished a feast that included the traditional fixings such as turkey, pecan yams, herbed mashed potatoes as well as some alternative offerings such as sweet potato curry soup.

Thank you to all of you for your generous support in 2021 whether it was volunteering, attending events, sending some of your hard earned funds, and your general goodwill. It has been an amazing year here at the Peace Center as we have built back from the “covid” year—from the Anti-Asian Hate Rally to the George Floyd Memorial Anniversary Rally to the Voting Rights March to the International Peace Day Celebration to the weekly episodes of the ACPJ TV show: That Saturday Show

The Peace Cafe’ is just one of our new launches and it is already popular and needed in the neighborhood. (Please join us for Peace Cafe’ on Friday December 3rd in connection with our Holiday Bazaar and on Thursdays December 9th and 16th.)

We are excited for 2022 and many upcoming developments: expansion of our organizational partners, housing justice advocacy, Wellness Wednesdays and more. We hope you will continue to be involved in all ways at the Center for Peace and Justice. Share your voice with us and let us lift it up in order to heal our city and state.

Blessings to you and yours.
