Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the HydroML 2026 symposium will take place at the University of Texas at Austin on May 19-21 2026, co-hosted by the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences and the Jackson School of Geosciences at UT. HydroML is an annual meeting mainly focused on machine learning for hydrology and broader geoscience. The previous meetings were hosted at Penn State, LBNL, PNNL and UC-Irvine, all with strong participation and excellent outcomes.

The Abstract Submission is now open at the link below. The submission deadline is March 10 2026, at 11:59 pm CT.

This year, we plan to provide student travel grants to help support graduate students travelling to HydroML to present their research. Awards of up to $500 per recipient may be made, depending on the funding availability. Travel grants will be awarded through a competitive application process. Interested students are welcome to apply via this link by March 10.

This year marks the fifth HydroML symposium. We will bring together hydrologists, geoscientists, and AI experts to explore frontiers in ML/AI for hydrology and geosciences, hybrid modeling, digital twins, Earth foundation models, and other timely topics. We look forward to continuing to grow this community and to fostering vibrant discussions and strong engagement. We are excited to welcome you to join us at UT this year!

Best regards,
