At GMV we are recruiting a Hydrologist / Water Resources Technical Specialist for projects related to water resources and climate change resilience (typically floods, droughts and groundwater resources assessment) for international financial institutions for our offices in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona) (Working permit for Spain is needed). WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON? Join our dynamic team and tackle real-world water problems like floods, droughts and groundwater shortages. These will be your responsibilities: Assess large-scale water resources together with the team's experts. Be in charge of environmental and remote sensing data. Contribute to reports and publications. Collaborate on projects related to floods, droughts and/or groundwater resources assessment.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM? For this position, we are looking for experts in Earth/Environment/Water Science, Geography or Climate Change with a background and interest in hydrology. This is what you will bring to our team: Knowledge of hydrological principles. Programming languages: Python, geospatial data management and time series. Excellent communication skills and an advanced level of English. Continental/global data or navigating data-poor environments. Numerical and statistical analysis skills We will also value previous experience and knowledge in: Ph.D. in hydrology/water resources or experience in Earth observation data processing. Hydraulic or coastal modeling Climate modeling, climate datasets or hydroclimatic risk assessment
